Hipshot Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 Don't care. Quality > Size. To a certain extent. How big will those skies be zipped up? I will of course not ship a level that uses ~150MB where ~70MB is the sky. Compressed with winrar, the sky takes about ~7MB. Quote
Tequila Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 Sounds fine then. I mean, the download isn't an issue, and these days people can really afford the HDD space. Quote
ReNo Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 Looks too blurry to me, and perhaps a bit too direct a photosource? I don't know much about texture design but thats how it strikes me. Quote
von*ferret Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 Really aren't happy with them, Klein doesn't like them either. Open for any suggestions are welcome! Quote

I think so. No good. # Last two: Didn't look long enough to se any real diffrence between them (maybe the last one was sharper?). But there are also parts that might look repetable, like the "dick" down in the middle, and the dark area to the right. # Goes for all, low res, blurry, don't like the color. # Sorry. Quote
Campaignjunkie Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 I think the rock is pretty good (maybe too bright and over-exposed?), but the sand is kind of blotchy - it's difficult to tell it's sand. Not so sure about the paleness on the edges of the sand-road either; is that what actual sand roads look like? I'm sure you'll fix them up though, your HL1 gingerbread house rocked! Quote
DaanO Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 Looks too blurry to me, and perhaps a bit too direct a photosource? I don't know much about texture design but thats how it strikes me. The perspective is visible in the texture, that's what looks so weird i guess. The trim at the bottom is decent but a bit blurry and the white stuff will repeat visibly. Quote
h2 Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 click for bigger version! This one is older Quote
KoKo5oVaR Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 the mudwall is really great, nice work Quote
