Ooghijmiqtxxa Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Here are some futuristic textures and some other junk. Most of these are pretty old, can't show any new stuff. Here is what the neon looks like in game: http://www.tankvstank.com/neon4.avi Quote
Blunkka Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Like em but the green light on the first texture looks weird to me Quote

ginsengavenger Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 Most of these are pretty old, can't show any new stuff. then i won't bother commenting i think it's pretty lame that so many mods are so protective of their media. they need to be drumming up interest any way they possibly can. General Vivi Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 i really like the red one man good job there Quote
teeluu Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 My first real texture, it's pretty much just testing and getting known with the style. I think the lower parts are a bit too dark and gap between the plates are too big, or? I'd definately like to hear some suggestions to make it better It's a WIP of course. (Original is 1024x1024px) Quote
von*ferret Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 pretty big gap mate, but i'd have to see how you're goign to do it ingame Quote
teeluu Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 Edited a little, more tighter now, better? Quote
teeluu Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 What is it? Some dirty ground with broken/odd plates on it! Quote
ReNo Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 It's got pretty obvious seams due to the fact your tiles are oddly shaped yet all "fit" to the edges of the texture. You should maybe try having some run over an edge and in the other side? Quote
PhilipK Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 I think i undestand the idea you want there. It's nice so far. But I think it suffers from the same "disease" as a lot of other textures with seams like that. It's like the seams and plates are not the same texture. IMO they need to "interact" with each other more. The seams are dirt, then some dirt should get up on the edges of the tiles etc. Don't know if that was unclear enough Quote

Let's see what i can do. EDIT: Did this in 10mins before i go to sleep, dunno if it's what you were expecting but i think that kinda dirt fits there anyway.. maybe some pieces of broken stone/wood or something would be neat (or not). Now i need some sleep. Quote
