Quakis Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Some textures that I'll be using for my Mansion map. Nothing too special, over the top or detailed but they should work well in the map. I was in need for some better textures to use, and still got more to work on. The picture in the middle of the fifth is still WIP, I'll work on it soon though. NOTE: I had to tweak the textures quite a bit since I got the scale, and proportions wrong. However I've fixed all that and will show an updated ingame shot in the WIP thread soon... Quote
requiem2d Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Somewhat bland, but definitely a good start Quote
Minos Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 WIP of a wall texture I"m working on... any advices ? Quote
Pericolos0 Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 cool stuff . The borders look a bit detached from the wall though, maybe you can try painting in parts of the wall crumbling there.. and I dont really like the blue stuff at the bottom, it looks artificial.. Quote
Ooghijmiqtxxa Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Thats a great start Mino. I would suggest working on the transition from the edges. Do like Peri says and add some more detail there. I also agree n the bottom part. It's a really unrealistic burn. I think you could add the dirt from above of the silver part there and get rid of that bottom part completely. Great start buddy. Quote
L4zy Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Is this the right thread for this? I think so, because it's a texture. I made myself a daisy model and planted it upon an appropriate grass texture (with an own detailprop entry): Quote
Furyo Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 That's very nice, would be cool if you released it to the public Quote
Rick_D Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 is that a legitimate dod:s xhair? D: Quote
ReNo Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 In the first shot those daisy's look way too tall to me. Given that the grass has no depth, they stand out too much to look natural. In the second shot you seem to have dropped the height a bit which is good, but I'm not keen on the colour variations personally. Still, doesn't hurt to have them available, as its easy enough to modify the detail prop stuff so it only uses the ones you want Quote
SnipaMasta Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 is that a legitimate dod:s xhair? D: Yes. Looks much better now, by the way. Quote
