Yeah I just came back from seeing it. It was a good movie, but it didn't feel very X-files at all... There wasn't really anything extraterrestrial going on besides some old guy with long hair having visions.

I was hoping for some alien stuff and creepy scenes but it felt more like a really long episode of CSI. But it did make me want to buy Season 1 on DVD. Those were still the good days of the X-files.

Seems bizarre that they've made a new X-Files movie after so long. I didn't even really know it was coming out, beyond a rumour like two years ago that I assumed led to nothing.

It looks like it's fairly unpromising going off basically all reviews/etc, although it is cool that Billy Connolly is playing a central role (the old guy).
