dux Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 It's almost finished, woo. Just have to playtest it some more and iron out a few glitches and finalize territory sectors. These were all taken in editor, so I couldn't take them with AA. I'll post some ingame action shots when I playtest with my mate later tomorrow sometime. Any comments throw them my way. Quote
Psy Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I remember having a play around with the CoH editor and my favourite features was the spline tool and being able to perfectly align fences and what not along a hill. Quote
FrieChamp Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 Cool I installed the demo again a few days ago, just to play skirmish...maybe I shouldn't be so cheap and buy the full version, it's a great game Then I could also try dux's map~ Quote
-HP- Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 I don't own the game so I would'nt be able to try the map, but it surely has a nice atmosphere! But tell us Dux, why Essence Engine? Working for a specific job vacancy? Quote
Jenn0_Bing Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 I have it sat on my desk, my friend gave me a copy he got with a gfx card as he already had the game. This makes me want to install it and try out the editor, nice work. Quote

Nope I just love the game, the engine and it's tools And everyone always posts FPS stuff around here so I thought it would be a refreshing change. Thanks for the comments everyone. Quote
KIIIA Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 I don`t even know that game, but your map looks beautyfull and is a big winner in terms of outdoor lighting and atmosphere! Quote
-HP- Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 Niceee! Too bad RTS's are definitely NOT my thing! Quote
KoKo5oVaR Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Wow dux, when i saw your message on steam, i wasn't expecting a map for COH !!!!! It's visually really great, actually the quality relic puts in its levels. I'm pretty much a fan of COH since i'm playing it in LAN with 3 other buddies at univ every evening after work ( 2vs2 map, excellent ), so we'll definitely give it a try next time we'll play, if you make it downloadable . sk3tch Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Ya know...usually the GUI makes the screenshots more interesting to look at. It looks alot better without it. It looks great. Quote
JamesL Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Nice work Dux. Boy I love CoH it's such good fun. Gonna have to re-install it and have a blast at this. How much time did it take to build the map? Quote
dux Posted July 1, 2008 Author Report Posted July 1, 2008 It took me about 3 weeks or so. I like to joke with people and say it only took me a week because the editor is so easy killertomato could use it. I'm just doing more playtests and tweaking, it should be ready for release soon. Quote
JamesL Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 That's a nice timescale. I am sick of editors that demand months of your life to make a map. Edit: Where can you get the editor from, or does it ship with the game? Cheers. Quote
