Skacky Posted October 22, 2013 Report Posted October 22, 2013 (edited) I tried PoE but the constant lag was horrible. Still the game had an awesome atmosphere and really creepy interiors. Edited October 22, 2013 by Skacky Quote
dux Posted October 22, 2013 Report Posted October 22, 2013 PoE is on steam tomorrow (23rd, wednesday) and it is fucking awesome. It's everything I wanted Diablo 3 to be gameplay wise. The art style isn't as polished but I much prefer the darker tone it uses. Quote
Skjalg Posted October 23, 2013 Report Posted October 23, 2013 (edited) I am very much looking forward to the diablo 3 expansion, whenever that comes. Has a release date been set? or even been announced? I had a great weekend playing diablo 3 when it first came out, barring the log in issues I faced from time to time, but those 3 days sitting on a lan with my friends and playing d3 coop will always stand out as a very positive memory. It doesn't really matter to me that it was basically unplayable the next 2-3 weeks because the game was too difficult and I refused to use the AH, because I'd already got my moneys worth. Tisky Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 I hope we get alot of more information at Blizzcon! I´m like a child waiting for christmas and the funny thing is, i hated Diablo 2. I really refused to buy Diablo 3 until my brother actually bought it for me, promising me that i would love it. Now he have not been playing it for almost a year. Also, i will have a hard time deciding how to spend the paragon points: Quote
Minos Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 More details about the Mystic, which will let you reroll stats on items: https://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/11337855 Quote
KoKo5oVaR Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 I'm not playing diablo3 but i'm definitely in love with this character design Quote
Minos Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 Finally an ugly chick in Diablo 3 Sentura 1 Quote
Dennispls Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 I really like the upcoming changes to the expansion. Every new paragon level gives you the oppertunity to boost certain stats(much more satisfying than just a few +3 stats). Enchanting also boosts the equipment without having to rely heavily on that one loot drop that works better for your build. Transmogrification is also something that i am really looking forward to. I hate the fact I cant change the look or color of the legendary equipment Bring it on Death. Quote
Sprony Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 However disappointed I was with this game, I gotta give them credit for trying. Because let's be honest, we bought a product and not a service. They could have just cashed in and moved on like most companies do. Especially in light of the huge amount of criticism they received (a lot of companies would have given up for far less). I'm still not convinced that the game is salvageable but dropping the auction house and adding Adventure mode a long with Loot 2.0 could be a real game changer. Even the choice to be an online only game doesn't bother me that much anymore seeing how the online experience on the consoles got totally ruined by duped items. I might not be happy with it but the console release is certainly strong evidence that it was the right decision. So in short, respect: Quote
Skacky Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 To be honest base Diablo 2 wasn't very good either, and I remember I was hugely disappointed when I came from Diablo 1. However as soon as Lord of Destruction was released it became fantastic. With Jay "fuck that loser" Wilson out and the other changes they made, it can probably become good. Quote
Sentura Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 I think there's been too much damage done to save it, and what with Path of Exile being out (and free!) I don't really see a reason to pick up anything Diablo III related. I think Rob Pardo's response to Jay Wilsons departure is strange - it pins him as the man behind the product, but at the same time the designs and implementations in the game were not his. Moreover, his statement that he wants to continue to improve D3 to become the best game in the genre... Seeing as it is already outperformed by several other games, and its core design systems are faulty - I just don't get how they will even compete? I guess the fan(atic)s will buy and or play it regardless of what it is, if only because it is Blizzard. Rob Pardo's response: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/7592242994?page=106#2104 Quote
Sentura Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Oh yeah and this quote from the forums is perhaps the only thing that would save Diablo III (or Diablo IV) Re-hiring the Blizzard North team would the best decision you can or will ever make. Quote
