dux Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 (edited) I'm a huge Diablo fan and Blizzard dropped the ball on something that is very close to my heart which I was waiting an incredibly long time for. So yes, I'm always going to be incredibly critical of this. Let me be clear that no offence was meant to anyone but it's still my opinion and now that you two are employed there you are both going to react differently to my comments on and about the game. Fair enough but my post got flagged as popular, am I saying something wrong? I don't think I did, perhaps it sounded quite angry, which it was. My reasons for being annoyed are those two in the video are stating the obvious from the beginning like it's something new that they never realised until the whole community had to spell it out to them and that's incredibly frustrating to hear now X amount of time after release. If they had said this to themselves at the beginning and ditched the AH then D3 would of been a significantly better experience for myself and a vast majority. Basically I'm a massively grumpy diablo fan and I love you all. Edit / typo Edited September 18, 2013 by dux Thrik, Skacky and PogoP 3 Quote

Rick_D Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 well i mean NS2 was perfect in every way so i think he has a right to criticise. dux 1 Quote
Sprony Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 Let's get back on track and not derail this any further. I stated my 'legitimate' and constructive criticism about the story earlier (it was also flagged as popular) so there's no need to repeat that. The only thing stopping me from returning now is the lack of an offline mode. It's not like nobody will play it on Battlenet just because we can play it offline. Just look at the success of Diablo 2. You know what killed Diablo 3 for a lot of players (besides a terrible story)? The problems coming from having to be online. Everybody remembers the catastrophic launch and we still hate server maintenance. I tried to come back a couple of times due to all these positive changes, because I stopped playing a long time ago. Guess what happened on the random occasions that I wanted to play again? Server maintenance. No way too play. Probably dumb luck but I uninstalled the game all the same. I have no need for trading, playing with others or socializing within in this game. I'll do that when I play it at a LAN with my friends. Sometimes I just want to play on my own but I can only play when you allow me to play. That's not right. What wrong with a offline character? What's wrong with people having fun offline? Who cares about mods and stuff? The online component is still secure right? I will only be coming back for ROS if they add an offline option and trust me, I'll play it online too. Quote
Sjonsson Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 (edited) YES, removing that AH means I might even return to my Witch Doctor! EDIT: I've always been wondering why they are enforcing online play, do they gain money from it? I just can't figure. Edited September 19, 2013 by Sjonsson Quote
PogoP Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 well i mean NS2 was perfect in every way so i think he has a right to criticise. Oh yeah I loved the part in Dux's post where he said NS2 was perfect. Dux feels the very same way about NS2, as he's mentioned many times before.. Quote
Taylor Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 (edited) Dux doesn't like Diablo 3? Fuck that guy. Edit and joking/trolling aside: There clearly is some issues in D3 people want addressed and they have been mentioned, constructively, in this thread. People aren't just hating on it to be hip and happening. This expansion easily has scope to be as good as LoD, or even better, if you guys play it right! Edited September 19, 2013 by Taylor Quote

Sentura Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 Removing AH seems to be treating the symptoms of the game instead of changing the root cause. For me the AH made no difference to gameplay as I never used it. I wish they would revamp the skill system and make it into something with permanency and viability. Having everything open is likely to get people bored. Not to mention that the loot system needs help: Grinwhrl, Sjonsson, FMPONE and 1 other 4 Quote
dux Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 Other than dungeon keeper when was the last time he was happy about a game on here? lol Man that deus ex game thing was pretty good. Except the ending. But everyone complained about that so I guess I can too without being singled out! Quote
FMPONE Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 Diablo 2 was amazing, might pick this up if I hear good things with the expansion Quote
Erratic Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 I was just pointing out that your criticism hasn't been reserved only for Diablo 3. You being critical ain't nothing new. I also think it's kind of a dumb game. Quote
FMPONE Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 This thread is fucking hilarious btw Quote
Skacky Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 I don't really know what's wrong with dux being critical, especially when he's right. PogoP and Sjonsson 2 Quote
