selmitto Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 I'm still waiting for my copy to arrive but you can manually invest your points with the Elective mode as far as I know. The Elective Mode is to enable manually changing skill position in the skill bar. Quote
dux Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 9 hours and so far I'm pretty unimpressed by the game, but blown away from the cgi cutscenes. Quote
Vilham Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 So turns out I was playing on the Americas server and you can't switch to Europe and keep your character, so now im lvl 1 again.... Quote
Sprony Posted May 20, 2012 Report Posted May 20, 2012 I organised a LAN yesterday. In total we had 9 people divived into 3 groups. Finished the first 2 acts in a 8 hour session which resulted in a level 22 Demon Hunter. I'm also already in 20 hours solo with a level 30 barbarian. So far I'm having a blast with the game. Seriously, my right arm hurts and I was even't masturbating! Quote
Skacky Posted May 20, 2012 Report Posted May 20, 2012 I'm in the middle of Act 2 with a Barbarian and I'm loving it so far. The skill interface is complete garbage though. Quote
Zyn Posted May 20, 2012 Report Posted May 20, 2012 God damn, Elites and Champion packs in Inferno does not fuck around. In a party of 4, we died so many times to the same mob in a short amount of time, all of our gear was broken, while bosses are a piece of cake. Quote
Taylor Posted May 20, 2012 Report Posted May 20, 2012 Before this game came out Blizzard were saying how hard it was going to be and I shrugged it off entirely, but I'm currently playing Hell in a party of 3 and some of the elite packs are absolutely ridiculous. In fact if I couldn’t change my skills over to a “tanking” build (invincibility, stuns, dodge) we’re be absolutely screwed because I’d just be scattering enemies everywhere with Lashing Tail Kick like a nonce, and trying ineffectively to burn then down before they killed me. I do find most of the bosses are cake; certainly the minor ones are almost pointless now as they are all basically normal enemies with lots of health. In Nightmare the WoW major bosses were also kind of weak, but we just killed the Skeleton King in Hell and he was fairly difficult. It wasn’t quite as manic as coming across two sets of elites, but you had to make sure you didn’t do anything stupid (i.e. get hit by his triple swing) for a big chunk of time. Quote
Sprony Posted May 20, 2012 Report Posted May 20, 2012 Too bad the servers are down again. So much for my 'SOLO' character :S I really miss an offline mode. I understand where they are coming from, but it's pretty lame for us. Quote
Bunglo Posted May 20, 2012 Report Posted May 20, 2012 lol at everyone who shrugged off always online for this game. Happy I didn't buy it yet. Quote
dux Posted May 20, 2012 Report Posted May 20, 2012 You can torrent diablo 3 and play it happily offline. Paying customers lose out again. Quote
Tailgunner Posted May 20, 2012 Report Posted May 20, 2012 I dont think "always online" requirement is so much for DRM as it is a protection for the real money actounhouse. Wich people could really screw up when it arrives. Still sucks big time thou, Beeing online all the time is not much of a problem ( except when the game servers are down ) but having lag in a singleplayer game is a little bullcrap. The game is fucking amazing thou, I am loving it, on nightmare difficulty now, ending of act2 and it is giving me a challenge =( some of the elite groups are insane. Quote
