KungFuSquirrel Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 Eh, Blizzard Time. World of Warcraft, announced late 2001, released late 2004. Starcraft 2 announced in 2007, coming 2010. Diablo 3 announced in 2008... The 12-minute monk montage looks pretty fantastic, but then again so do all of the class demos if you ask me. Looks like a crazy satisfying game to play. Quote
Skacky Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 Amazing blend between the Hellfire Monk and the LoD Assassin. And this new environment is totally sick. Come on Blizzard, release the game already. Quote
Nurb Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 This is the only game in history of which I am a fanboy, and I shall defend it with my life. NONE SHALL PASS! Quote
Sentura Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 Guild Wars anyone? oh yes. i nearly took a job at arena net too... damn you, education! Quote
wacko Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 I look forward to this game myself, the playable at Blizzcon was pretty awesome. Quote
skdr Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 Some new stuff. http://kotaku.com/5615645/see-diablo-ii ... -in-action I want to play. Also, someone rename this thread, please. Quote
e-freak Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 played it today at GC. Felt like the cheap and "Omg-so-serious" clone of Torchlight (Really when torchlight was a clone of the first two ones). Quote
Bunglo Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 Really... man, they better not screw this series up. I would of loved to have seen what Blizz North had for D3 all through out their development on it. The game has a giant smooth filter on everything right now Quote
Duff-e Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 Not trying to be a troll but how is this different than WOW? I never played Diablo II and only played WOW up to like level 50. Quote
dux Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 Not trying to be a troll but how is this different than WOW? I never played Diablo II and only played WOW up to like level 50. Looking at it right now I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking it was a topdown WoW game. I HIGHLY suggest that you play Diablo II and it's expansion Lord of Destruction. The difference between Diablo II and WoW, is that one is an action packed slaughter fest contained within a fantastically atmospheric and brooding environment. Whereas the other game has goblins. Listen to these two pieces and tell me which has more soul to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OM3aOF1T9qA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuGrIAB5fe4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8zjH8s6VIU Quote
Bunglo Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 I recommend playing D1 first and then D2+LOD. I still think D1 has one of the best atmospheres of any game I've played, lights off at 1 or 2 in the morning, can't beat that. That's why I'm going to be super f*cking po'ed if D3 turns out to be garbage or more WC3/WOW than Diablo. The latest videos of New Tristram reminds me of WC3 a bit too much to be honest, perhaps it's the transition from 2.5d to 3d that's throwing me off :\ Also: The Diablo series has had some pretty freaking amazing soundtracks composed (Thanks, Matt Uelmen), the first better than the second, imo. Skjalg Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 I thought that the new video showing off new tristram (and the blacksmith thingie) was sorta more in style with d2 than anything ive seen up 'till now. I mean, at least it was dark and a little gloomy. Quote
Nysuatro Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 I played it. Not so impressed. I guess maybe 15 minutes of playing is not enough to like the game. Quote
