Seldoon182 Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 I mean its a good plus. But yes, this isn't useful when you don't have enough time ! Quote
Punky Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 looks really stunning and they look 'shopped though, Can't believe they are all screenshots, very nice! Quote
-HP- Posted October 19, 2009 Author Report Posted October 19, 2009 Hey guys... fancy a bump?! Since the CE3 announcement, some people have been showcasing some screenshots they took with CE2, and I'm fucking amazed with some of them! So yeah, here's a few a friend of mine shown me on MSN, along with some others, had to share with the good old core. and.. Quote
Nysuatro Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 Very impressive. I am now working with the cryengine 2 on a game that we have to make in 8 weeks. And I must say that it is really great to work in this engine. Havn't had a lot problems and it is easy to use. Looking forward to play with the cryengine 3. Quote
Furyo Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 To make an Assassin'S Creed game with that kinda engine one day....Anvil is really cool for other things, but it could never achieve this. Quote
AlexM Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 holy crizzap that settles it, time to do a one sitting play of Crysis ASAP those shots with the rocks, are those actual geometric displacement? If that's faked in a map then wow Quote
Lord Ned Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 ":2zhujc7h]Yeah, the Core map is unbelievably beautiful dude! And very well designed for a linear level, you did a wonderful job! I agree that it was a beautifully done map, but I hated it. Hated hated hated it. I spent an hour wandering around lost, spinning in circles unsure which way was up, which way was forward... if I was going over the same area again. A hud would have helped but Although the reward of coming out of the ship into the snowy land was so worth it. Quote
Sentura Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 the first indoor shot is really impressive and almost looks like photorealism, but for me it seems that the outside shots hit a sort of uncanny valley. they look real, but theyre missing small important elements that you'd have in real life. Quote
D3ads Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 ^^ Agreed, although let's be honest that no engine is near achieving photo realism quite yet. Quote
FrieChamp Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 Hehe the guy forgot to hide the helper (yellow ball) in the gravity tunnel that the player is attached to during the ride, you can still see it (in editor mode) ;O @Lord Ned: A map would have helped indeed, but there were no ressources to implement a 3D map feature. Amazing shots! Quote
jaboo224 Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 I disagree. the whole point is you shouldnt have a map imo in core. Core was one of my fav levels because it literally put the game to a place where all your past experience in crysis doesnt help you at all which is awesome! Quote
Rick_D Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 Oh cool, 8 screenshots from my map! Not always from the best angle, but still cool. Thanks for sharing! most frustrating part of the game for me. could not figure out where the fuck to go, and having those fucking monsters flying at you constantly while you tried to figure out wtf to do was annoying Quote
