Buddy Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 1024units contest was long time ago, about time to get another one, what do you think? Quote
Minos Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 I can't be arsed to work with source anymore. I'll be done with it as soon as I finish my INS map. Quote
dux Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 U3 all the way, working with it for my contract stuff it's the best. Quote
PogoP Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 I need to learn Unreal, so I'd be up for a mapping contest. Quote
-HP- Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 I need to learn Unreal, so I'd be up for a mapping contest. Ditto Quote
Loafie, Hero of Dreams Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 a contest probably wouldnt be the best way to learn unreal, a little too under the gun haha, but let's get another one going Quote
PogoP Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 I sort of lack motivation sometimes, especially when it comes to something as big as learning a new engine, so having something to aim for would be a great motivator for me. Quote
-HP- Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 Does it have to be a specific engine at all?! We're a mapping community... Quote
Skacky Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 Yep I think [HP] is right. The strengh of Mapcore is its variety in engines. (and of course awesome levels). But if it's on Source or Unreal Engine I can give it a try if I have the time. Quote
mjens Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 So if we can use any engine we want what's the could be a topic of the contest. I suggest not making another X-poly or X / X width map but a theme like "forgotten castles" or "future in the past" (alternative future but in old times) Oh and now I have a lot of work at school, how about moving it to first days of vacations? I guess we could see engines like: Source ID Tech 3/4 Unreal 2/3 CryEngine 2 Quote
Quakis Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 Source ID Tech 3/4 Unreal 2/3 CryEngine 2 Build... Quote
