Schmung Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Texturing the models I made: Needs more ccolour in the arms. More happy with trousers now. Need to do the belt, more tidying and add colour to the vest and trousers. Quote
Tequila Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Hehe, very tasty, although you need to dirty the trademark vest up more; our Bruce has been through the wars! Quote
kleinluka Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Looks like you are still very early in the progress of texturing it so I'll wait with my comments till you are further ahead with it.. Quote
tnoh Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Nice model. The vest should be white and dirty. And Eyes should be more hangoverish: Quote
GrayFox Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Nice. The lower part of his face should be a little wider, though. Look at the second picture in tnoh's post. Quote
Tequila Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Now that I think about it, he should look pretty beat up to. Remember stuff like glass in the feet etc., so add some blood and gashs, bruises and scars all over the place. Quote
Crackerjack Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Yeah, I agree with all these guys, keep up the work man. Quote
Schmung Posted October 13, 2004 Author Report Posted October 13, 2004 Made a start on the dirt and stuff. I'm gonna adjust that vest colour a bit as well. I'm feeling thats it's getting there now, it's mostly about tweaking things now. I think I'll rig the bastard tomorrow and then once thats done continue with adding dirt and whatnot. Quote
kleinluka Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 some of the anatomy seems REALLY off. Good example is the arms which seem to be just stuck on the shoulders like a playmobile toy. The guy also looks totally static, the pose partially contributes to that but I think big part of it is in the anatomy too. The arms are also lacking muscular defintion in the modeling which adds to the static playmobile look the guy has Quote

Good example is the arms which seem to be just stuck on the shoulders like a playmobile toy. They are Wasn't sure how musuclar to make him, Bruce isn't actually that beefy a guy, so giving him huge over defined muscles seemed a bit wrong really, plus I was trying to keep the polycount around about 1800. The pose isn't helping matters I admit, modelled it to fit over the HL skeleton in the idle pose, but I've since discovered thats the wrong thing to do. I thing I'll plug on and finish this and use the mistakes I've made to try and make the next one better. I don't particularly want to go back and fix the modelling/unwrapping errors I've made because it would mean starting again on the skin, which is the hardest bit for me. Quote
Crackerjack Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Okay from the side, its looking good, from the front its really appaling. Here is a site with human proportions. One of them that you really need to work is the shoulders (their way to wide) http://www.mauigateway.com/~donjusko/human.htm Keep it up man Quote
tnoh Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Idal Proportion Male? He doesen't have a pensi and he has a second face in the arse?!?! Quote
