Blunkka Posted May 24, 2008 Report Posted May 24, 2008 I've been spending some time crawling around the bushes (literally) in moms garden. These are some of the macros I've been able to get. Mostly taken ~20 cm from the subject with fill flash. Mikro Nikkor 60mm Not sure which one of these is better The first kinda has more "precise" focus but the second is imo more fluffy and cute Quote
PogoP Posted May 24, 2008 Report Posted May 24, 2008 Holy crap those are cool photographs. I love the first one, that is seriously creepy. Quote
Belgarion Posted May 24, 2008 Report Posted May 24, 2008 beautiful work. great DoF and clarity. nice macro work. :monocle: Particularly love the tulip and second bee. Quote
Blunkka Posted May 27, 2008 Author Report Posted May 27, 2008 Hey thanks for the comments. Here's a couple more insect macros. Also bought a Sigma 100-300mm yesterday so here's one using that lens. Quote
Blunkka Posted June 7, 2008 Author Report Posted June 7, 2008 Couple new ones of this spider. It was carrying a weird blue bag in the back of it's body don't know what that was for. Carrying babies... Quote
Punky Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 Even though, I hate spiders and am scared of them as hell, the shots look fantastic! the detail in the second pic is amazing! Quote
Grin Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 How much photoshop did you use to make the soft-focus parts look like that.. I mean those don't seem right. Quote
Blunkka Posted June 13, 2008 Author Report Posted June 13, 2008 How much photoshop did you use to make the soft-focus parts look like that.. I mean those don't seem right. I blurred the focal plane where spider parts weren't included. So that's mainly sand in the foreground. Didn't touch the background bokeh. Quote
Blunkka Posted June 25, 2008 Author Report Posted June 25, 2008 A couple new ones to the collection now that Mapcore is up again. Quote
