Steppenwolf Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 Yea Fallout 3 was great fun. having low expectations sure helps to enjoy the game. I've spent like 100 hours in that game and i will continue as soon as the third DLC arrives. For console rpgs its on top there with Mass Effect. Not as polished but way better sidequests/missons. Pericolos0 Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 Go play FO and FO2 and then say anything about expectations. I've played both of them several times and I really think FO3 is a worthy succesor, really getting thesame vibe from this game as i got from fallout1. Quote
-HP- Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 I guess we had skipped all the F3 bashing talking? We got it already, F1/F2 fans don't like F3. Good, go play them then. Quote
Minos Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 Awesome! Get this one though, it's more complete =) http://www.amazon.com/Posters-Science-F ... 395&sr=1-1 There's a whole series of this and each one is awesome: http://www.amazon.com/Film-Posters-Expl ... pd_sim_b_3 Quote
Evert Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 Awesome, gonna check the first one out! Do you have it minos; if yes, is it a lot of late sci fi in it? Im only interested in the old shiat. Quote

Im only interested in the old shiat. just ordered it from amazon actually, but I flipped thru it in a book store previously and it's made mostly of old movies, although you might find some newer shit. The paper quality is also kickass. You might also wanna check this out, it covers traditional painting techniques only but might be quite useful for your secret project =) http://www.amazon.com/Space-Art-Planets ... d_sim_b_58 Quote
Furyo Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 5 bucks on steam, this weekend only I had enjoyed TRLegend in 2006, but never got to play this one nor the very first this is a remake of so this will be my weekend game... Quote

twiz Posted April 5, 2009 Report Posted April 5, 2009 Way below my expectations. Go play FO and FO2 and then say anything about expectations. Played them. FO3 met my very high expectations. I played it thru when it first came out, and even though I did a fairly thorough job with exploring and spent many many hours with it, I still have the itch to play it again, PC this time. Once I find 50 bucks I'm going to buy it. I don't want to get into the classic FO/2 vs FO3 arguement or anything, I'm just saying.. I felt it captured the spirit of FO/2 very well, it could have had a little more depth but honestly it was pretty damn interesting/immersive all the way through. The end sucked but everything else was great. TBH the storyline wasn't the great part about FO/2, it was the freedom, and that is still there in FO3. Ahh heck with it, fridge is full of food, I can swing the 50. Purchased Quote
D3ads Posted April 6, 2009 Author Report Posted April 6, 2009 My 7600GT died a few months ago after just over a year of service which meant the waranty was out of date, bugger I've got too many other things to think about and I needed a quick fix so I opted for the high-end AGP card 7950GT; You'll probably tell me it's shit compared to the 8800 or whatever but oh well When this dies I'll probably get a new rig with a PCI-E mobo. Mazy Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 Saw the first one again after maaaany years. Liked it ALOT better this time around. All awesome movies~ Quote

I'm sure it's fine, but jeeze you need to join the rest of us in 2009. You're not still mapping for that 1998 engine are you? Quote
