Chunks Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 thats the beauty of insurance i had to pay copays/deductibles for the two other visits too :\ dang what is your copay? I had just dropped my dental insurance at the time and had to fork over like $800 ( had just finished school, so I was out of my parents ins. and didn't feel like paying extra 20$/mo. for dental  ) I have some kickass insurance now, though... I wish my tooth could've waited a few months before it decided to go crazy, would've only cost me like 35 bucks + about 20 for meds. edit: oh yeah , I forgot about having to go back to the dentist to get a crown put in, that was like $500 sorry for going OT Quote

KoKo5oVaR Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 How good is it kt ? looks like an interesting read Quote
⌐■_■ Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 just read a few pages, but it sure is an interesting read! i feel ive been stuffed with information allready. it also scores pretty high with hikers and such, wich convinced me to pay € 27,50 for it this is what urbansurvivalsecrets.com has to say about it: I did like the fact that the SAS Urban Survival Handbook does take into account everything from the tropics to the Alpine regions to the polar regions. Surviving emergencies, disasters, fording rivers and the fact that all fresh water fish are edible helps out! Overall, this is a good book to purchase for your bag/backpack. Rating - 9 out of 10 stars for addressing so many areas! Quote
Ginger Lord Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 I've got an original copy of that book somewhere, in super small format from 1993 (It was £3.99/$7.50 then) Quote
Taylor Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 DoDonPachi: Dai-Fukkatsu Arcade Board Just got a proper super-gun for this to replace my badly build POS. I might look into a cabinet later but I don't think I can justify spending more on this right now Quote

FrieChamp Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 That's a lot of japanese stuff Taylor, do you speak/read Japanese? Quote
Taylor Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 少し Heh, the Japanese overload is because I just got back from 2 week vacation there and skipped around akiba with geeky glee. I'm in the process of learning and I did okay while I was over there (someone assumed I was a Tokyoite and asked for directions, woo!), but I wouldn't say yes to either of those at the moment Quote

Quote
Taylor Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 Nah, I'm not. I'm not really sure why she thought I was native either... Yeah akiba is akihabara, it's a pretty funky place and I spent far too much time in Hey! I love the way the buildings all contain unrelated shops on each floor, it's like a roulette. I was planning on going to Kyoto, but Tokyo had so much I decided we would stick with exploring that instead and still didn't cover everything. Quote
