Jetsetlemming Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6824001245 It's awesome. I'm upgrading to this from a 17" CRT and the difference is night and fucking DAY. Took me forever to find a good wallpaper in 1440x900 though. Here's what I ended up with: Quote
-HP- Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 1440x900 ? how many inches? Don't forget to calibrate that bitch man, i bought a samsung a while back too, and it was a pain in the ass to calibrate it the way I wanted too. http://www.wikihow.com/Calibrate-Your-Monitor Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 19". I don't have a printer. The monitor looks mostly fine though. Kinda bright. Quote

I had THOUGHT text was harder to read and couldn't figure out how to make it clearer. Quote
skdr Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 Why did you end up with 19" ? Price difference between 19" and 22" / 24" isn't that much and they are pretty much standard in WS area these days... Quote

Price difference between 19" and 22" / 24" isn't that much and they are pretty much standard in WS area these days... Extremely limited budget. This was only $200 + shipping. I watched through all three Robocop movies back to back on my new monitor last night, fucking awesome. Quote
PogoP Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 Bought Dead Space on Saturday. Haven't played it yet though, it seems to think I have no internet access and thus won't let me play it. /golfclap EA. Quote
Ginger Lord Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 Alpkit Gamma A bargain at £12.50 including delivery which is usually next day! A central 1W ultrabright LED that illuminates stuff out to about 50m no problem, also has a half-power mode for pottering around camps and a 1W strobe to attract attention in a emergency. Top three LED's are super bright white, red and green LED's. These are just as powerful as the half-power mode of the central one and easily illuminate everything around 10-20m. The red and green ones are great for map reading at night so as to not screw up your night vision. Ideal for the top of Ben Nevis when you're near the 1200m vertical drop. The red led also has a flashing mode to attract attention again in an emergency or as a beacon. Theres also a LED bar on the battery pack so at night people can follow you fairly easily. Absolute stonker of a deal and about 1/3 the price of the equivalent Petzl torches with no downsides I've yet to find. If you need a headtorch for any reason, get this one! Quote
Bic-B@ll Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 A college student season pass for mount snow, vermont. If bought before Nov 1st it's 295. A 1 day lift ticket is 75 dollars so thats four days of skiing right there. An amazing deal for a pretty close, awesome mountain. I plan on going on many-a-trips next semester with whoever will go. Plus im on the market for a ski rack for my car. Quote

Cybbe Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 The danes around my age or slightly older/younger will know how awesome this is... I grew up with this children's book, and thought it was out of production. Seems they reprinted it in 2006 It's, hands down, the most awesome children's book, ever, and I can't wait until I receive it. I'll definitely make sure my offspring will grow up with this cat too. It's nostalgia (Sorry about the rest of you, you probably won't get this ) Quote
