WD Posted June 30, 2021 Report Posted June 30, 2021 Got me a PS5. I haven't have a proper console since xbox360. ( Switch doesn't count since I never use it in docked mode. ) I've been coutch gaming most of this pandemic with my PC so why not go all in. I've been wanting on playing those PS exclusives too. Pretty fucking sweet that most exclusives I was planning on trying out from PS4 are included in their subscription packages. Though not all, I'll try get some missing ones 2nd hand. It'll be a while until I've cleared some of the backlog to even try out the new stuff. Can't wait. The adaptive triggers are amazing. blackdog 1 Quote
Bunglo Posted August 13, 2021 Report Posted August 13, 2021 Did I just spend almost $400 to play a Zelda game? You bet your fucking ass I did. Squad 1 Quote
Minos Posted August 16, 2021 Report Posted August 16, 2021 I was having horrible back pains from my old mattress and in a moment of desperation and desire to fix the problem I took a huge gamble and paid a shit ton of money for a fancy Tempurpedic memory foam mattress. According to reviews it was supposed to be the second coming of Christ, the one amazing mattress that will give you 15 years of perfect sleep... But turns out I really hate the memory foam feel and after a few months it started to give me different kinds of pains. In the end I had to spend another $400 for a latex mattress topper to make it feel more like a normal mattress, which completely defeats the purpose of the damn mattress... (besides, memory foam really sucks for making love) If I could go back in time I would just buy a regular Ikea mattress (like the one I had before that lasted 9 great years), and invested on a high quality mattress topper to control how firm/soft it is. Oh well, now I know a lot about mattresses at least. If you are shopping and need some pointers hit me up and I can give you a quick rundown Quote
Bunglo Posted September 9, 2021 Report Posted September 9, 2021 I managed to get a EVGA 3090 for retail which means I just spend $2000 on a GPU... Minos 1 Quote
-HP- Posted September 9, 2021 Report Posted September 9, 2021 I'm not jelly, you're jelly!! Fuckin miners and scalpers can go fuck themselves, honestly. Let gamers have their fun at an affordable price again, pl0x?! Quote
Bunglo Posted September 9, 2021 Report Posted September 9, 2021 Yep it's fucking ridiculous. I honestly would be fine with a rtx 3060 but not for $800. This fucking 3090 cost more than my entire PC I built 7 years ago, which I'm still using. If the opportunity pops up, I'd rather sell this 3090 to someone for what I paid and buy a 3060 or 70 when the prices return to normal. I've never been about buying the best parts on the market but fuck, this has been the only opportunity to buy a GPU that didn't have it's price throttled to the roof. blackdog 1 Quote
Bunglo Posted November 5, 2021 Report Posted November 5, 2021 I got a notification from the EVGA waitlist for a 3060, so I copped it. I paid $409.99 before tax and shipping. My 3090, which I'll be selling, is still unopened. Quote
Bunglo Posted November 5, 2021 Report Posted November 5, 2021 Anyone have recommendations on standing desks? I need enough room for two monitors, keyboard, and my wacom. Quote

I've got this one when we started WFH, and I love it! https://standsteady.com/collections/standing-desks/products/tranzendesk-55-inch-standing-desk-clamp-on-shelf?variant=39437348798621 I decided to get a crank mechanism instead of electric, because they last longer. It's a really sturdy desk, looks great, and it fits my needs. (Love that monitor shelf.) I memorized how many crank turns I need to bring them up to my preferred height, and that's it. No need for fancy memory buttons on these things that break every other year. Also, that price is unbeatable considering many standing desks go for 1000 bucks or more. Bunglo 1 Quote
blackdog Posted November 7, 2021 Report Posted November 7, 2021 (edited) Well you can find cheaper in IKEA, double check the crank @Bunglo cos I don’t see it in the thumbnails, but in previous job they had bought from them and they were fine. Guess depends how much weight you’ll put on it etc. https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/cat/standing-desks-55008/ i always wanted to build my own since, was thinking of using a pump mechanism like the hairdresser’s chairs Edited November 7, 2021 by blackdog Bunglo 1 Quote
