blackdog Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 [...]It's sooooo perfect !If you have 300€ / 350$ to spend on a new phone, you can buy it each tuesdays : the OnePlus One.(Maybe some people posted it before, idk sry :x )I like it so much, if I had to buy an Android it would probably be that. One thing to keep an eye on is that they have already ceased their relationship with Cyanogen, they're making they're own Android fork which should be out relatively soon apparently.I saw on YT that it's possible to flash it with Lollipop tho. leplubodeslapin 1 Quote

I saw on YT that it's possible to flash it with Lollipop tho. I'm not sure that their relationship with Cyanogen is definitely done, i've heard that it was maybe a mistake. I'm not so sure, i'm not fond of this kind of smartphone software things, i'm more into hardware. But yea a friend of mine told me that if i want i can already have a beta of Lollipop, but it should appear officialy soon anyway, so i'm just gonna wait. The phone is perfect (for now, 0 problem), but that's also because i used to have a Galaxy S1 that a friend lent me. It was running on Android 4.4.4 but it was lagging a lot, at the end of its life :-( It is a sudden leap to switch to a phone as powerful as the OnePlus One. If you want more infos/photos don't hesitate to ask. Quote
dux Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Darkest Dungeon on steam. FANTASTIC game. Even for Early Access. My mate was telling me to get this! Nice to hear someone else is enjoying it, I might have to pick it up! Yes, get it. It's a real 90's game in terms of it's unforgiving nature. I luv it. Sprony 1 Quote

I've got a OnPlus One too. It really is a great phone but I wasn't aware of the relationship problems with cyanogen since I really don't keep track of anything in the mobile scene. Might try flashing mine to lollipop since it looked quite nice in that video. Quote

It was running on Android 4.4.4 but it was lagging a lot, at the end of its life :-( Cynogenmod broke their exclusivity contract with oneplus and jumped into bed with some Indian manufacturer which is a huge market and would have been very lucrative for them. Indian government then intervened in it all and then cyanogen lost out both ways, oops! Silly them! I hacked my S1 as well, I was in the process of partitioning some linux swap to alleviate a few of the issues arising from only having 315MB RAM available. Gave up and bought MOTO E, loved it, broke it (sad face) and then bought Nexus 6, lol. Either way, for a 1st generation 1GHz smart phone, that thing has lasted so well! jackophant Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 Aherm ... Of all the earphones in the world you're buying the apple earbuds? You really think they're worth it? *side note* why don't inline mic/button systems work on android? that always annoys me -_- Quote

Tesco were selling them for £4 at one point so I bought 5 pairs. Quote

I didn't want to spend loads on earbuds, bought them mainly because I might put my iPhone on sale on Amazon, if I find another with a more pristine frame (haven't yet).Suggestion for some decent over-ear portable headphones? And since we are at it, what for gaming? Quote

Suggestion for some decent over-ear portable headphones? And since we are at it, what for gaming? Fair enough! I wasn't trying to talk down or anything, was just curious. I helped my fiancee buy a good pair of music cans recently, Sony MDR-1A which I think are a nice balance of quality and price. For gaming I use the Kingston HyperX Cloud v1, but I find the headband a little sore on my big noggin and requiring a little adjustment occasionally, so I'm looking to upgrade to v2 (which is also USB, big bonus!) for the extra padding. Other than that slight gripe they're fantastic, best headset I've used yet. This is the Cloud 2 (v2) and all it's gear. I love how it allows for mobile as well as aeroplane connections! That's news to me! I usually go with AriaPC when I can for their DPD partnership (the valve of deliveries afaic) Which colour combo did you go for? I've got my eye on gunmetal (my current pair are white) Quote
Vaya Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Red Ebuyer have always been really good with deliveries. Sometimes I've ordered at 4pm and got at 9am next morning.. Hopefully a good step up from the steelseries siberia v2 I'm using just now jackophant 1 Quote
