I have the Xperia Z, and the waterproofing is actually very useful, ontop of almost 30% of phone damage is due to water/dust/sand it's really cool to drop one in your beer glass for a party trick. That is until apple do it, then everyone will claim they are design gods.

It's the same with their phones. You can just pull em out while it's raining and you don't have to be afraid of water damage, quite nice :)

Frankly, i don't think that most phones would have any problem in the rain, the problem with electronics is when immersed. But it's a neat feat, it just tells you the device has that extra kind of polish in material/construction/engineering.

And yeah, maybe this summer you play Angry Birds in the garden pool :D

Well, Siemens did it 13+ years ago, so... yeah :)

I'm assuming those waterproof phones have touchscreens that actually work when covered in water. Nothing more annoying then a touchscreen with a few water droplets on it rendering it completely unusable. :|

Dragon's Lair is out on Steam. I immediately bought it. Never managed to secure a copy as a child. Truly fascinated by it in the arcades. Ah...me and the 80's......happy :)
