a friend of mine has recently broke up with her wife, so i wanted to cheer her up a little. i knew that she asked me if i owned that album and as i saw it for sale for 5 euros it was already bought and the cheering up did actually work great. (hessi is so damn nice...)

Finally stepping up from my old Samsung Syncmaster 740N 17" monitor...

...to a 24" samsung 2494SW. It'll be here tomorrow

I was looking around on newegg on friday for some black friday deals and saw it. Realized I've owned TWO monitors(a 17" CRT prior to the 740N) my entire life so I felt it was time for a new one The old 740N will become my secondary display, holding emails/wave/irc/calculator/etc

I have exactly the same model. I was slightly disappointed with it when i got it tbh. The optimal viewing angle is quite small and there is some ghosting. I also hate the buttons and i had to put a small sticker over the power LED, fucking thing was like a blue laser that was burning my eye.

However colors and contrast are great. A lot better then my 3 year old 22" Viewsonic right next to it which used to have one of the best picture qualitys on the market around 2006.

Yeah, 2494SW it's the ones I have here as well. The small blue led never really bothered me tho.
