kleinluka Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 Did they help you to get the visa n all this shit ? Yeah they did. I had to go to the Canadian Embassy in Berlin for an interview with the visa officer which scared the shit out of me... but it worked pretty well in the end (thanks to the supporting letters from Mikey and Izuno, you guys rule!!!)
Duff-e Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 how in gods name do you speak such flawless english
Ewok Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Blitz has an awesome site indeed. Man, it sucks to see everyone moving forward and me staying behind. Would love to apply for some positions, but my work is not good enough I guess anyways. Love developing games, level design, directing etc... Besides, wouldn't want to move out of my country and leave everything I love behind. Catch 22 really. A BIG suck one. Well done Klein, at that age, you do really have big balls. That's what I call growing up real fast. Oh and by the way, excellent post Zaphod, you're doing an amazing job. - Ewok
EviLTaxi Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 impressive, klein! It weird to see someone at the same age as me (and even the same native country) move to another country to work there! May I ask you a few questions via pm? Im very curious!

Slapshot Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Ubi in montreal is seriously looking for people? Hmmm montreal may be a 20 hour drive away, but I would have no issues whatsoever being there. There are so few companies in Canada. I'm seriously thinking I need to get applying to places, how was it for you? I want to do it, but I don't know if I can muster up the courage to do it yet. I'd love to chat about it if you are willing (klein that is) *not really in Toronto right now*
st0lve Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 plz just let me finish school and turn 18, then I'll come to canada (plz its only like 3 years~~).. since I want to touch evil lair, since he maeks teh sexy texturas.
kleinluka Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Yeah we are always hiring basically. It's a huge studio, the biggest Ubisoft production facility in the world. Over 1000 people work here. However, if you come from out of country you will need a university degree to come work here. I talked to HR just a few days ago and they told me I was the only one in the company they could bring in without a degree and they had to work hard. By law you have to have a degree to get the work visa, I was hella lucky they made an exception in my case. Oh and st0lve, evillair is the art director on my project , he's a scary scary man. (he just looks scary, but he's one hell of a nice guy).
st0lve Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 tell him to make more kick ass textures for the public plz. Or I'll feed him to my dog, and thats on hell of an ugly dog I tell you. And mummy says I'm special, so I won't need no stupid overrated degree.
