Tequila Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 CS:S is fantastic, but we're going to have to give it time for the maps to be polished (especially Italy; oh how they've raped it, as Mazy said), the remaining CT/T models to be added and bugs to be ironed out. Quote
JynxDaddy Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 Whoa Mazy blew my mind (not only) with the 'shooting guns over to teammates' idea. They really need to let you push barrels and stuff, also walking in a pile of debris (bottles and stuff) should kick them around and make noise, Its really cool and realistic when you are alerted of your enemys location by more than that repeating footstep sound. GrayFox Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 In the upcoming patches barrel pushing can be enabled if you wish to, or so I heard. Quote
JynxDaddy Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 It would be cool if the use key would push stuff, so there would be no accidental pushing when you are justing trying to get close. IM HOPE YOU ARE READING THIS VALVE Quote
Bic-B@ll Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 I kind of find the physics annoying because they just get fooled around with, play dust and within 5 seconds those 5 buckets by the CT spawn are down, those barrles at the far end are flipped over and all the way down the tunnel etc, it goes on and on, people shoot at physics objects more than enemys and I keep getting killed because of it  If people didn't act like such retards then it would be cool, but as of now, its pretty annoying. Tisky Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 Counter-Strike will never be cool in my eyes as long as there are 14 year old whores playing it on every server. Quote

Wait few months and it's not new thing anymore and fooling will stop or atleast lessen. And why are you getting killed because of it? Quote
Bic-B@ll Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 because the retards ar ebusy walking into a barrel and the terrorists rush me with flashbangs that actually work and smoke and shit and i get pwnt Quote
Duff-e Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 ah please....there are 14 year olds playing every game cs just has a shit load of players.....so theres more of a chance that you will run into a cock sucker Quote
Taylor Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 Another really irritating thing is it doesn’t seem to load an objects properties until they’re needed, i.e. if you shoot a chair for the first time it freezes for a second, works out what a chair does, then flings it/smashes it and from that point all chairs are hunky-dory – why doesn’t it get all this stuff when it loads? this is lag from the physics objects that are set to be server side. It's calculating the physics calculations on the server and sending back the result to you, and all the other clients. Then the network code might need some changes considering I was offline on a self-hosted lan by myself... It's a game-wide freeze, not a delay on the reaction, I don't actually seem to get this on a proper server either - just by myself (bomb explosions are dreadful). Quote
