Eagle painting

Hey hey hey!

Just finished this piece. Posting it here to get some opinions and see if I've forgotten something essential.

I think it lacks depth, it seems very flat.

Looking good in my opinion. Wouldn`t have crits except for the background that doesn`t add to the quality of the image due to the fast filter look, but then i saw the image posted by buddy and i think he`s right with that!

edit1: And i would highlight the eyes a bit more by adding white highlights!

the reason why it lacks depth is because the lighting is wrong, plus it doesnt really go with the background. i'd say changing the background would be key to make it more deep. otherwise a fine job.

It looks good, but i feel it lacks some contrast in the colour. Might be nice to see a colder hued background to help the eagle stand out.

Thanks for the comments guys. I first tried a normal blue sky but I kinda didn't like how that looked. I also didn't want to get too detailed with the background. I probably going to try something gradient sort of thing and see how that looks. I agree that with the current background I kinda had hard time trying to define where the main light source was.
