von*ferret Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 again I'm going to go snore in the corner. Quote
mikezilla Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 why you gotta be a dick about ? so it's not the most interesting idea in the world. i read the article and atleast it sounds like there is some innovation going on in the genre. it never hurts to make what you think people will want to play. how did you all get so jaded? Quote
zaphod Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 seriously . . .. There is always going to be people who want to play military themed games, and like the genre or not, you have to admit thats some damn fine artwork they have have going. Quote
RD Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 theyre nubs zilla. Real combat never gets boring, thas an advantage over unrealistic scifi fantasy stuff. Most of those "unrealistic" mods also try to get combat and physics as realistic as possible to make it fun. Quote
mikezilla Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 as if we're not all tired of space marines. Quote
Urban Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 seriously . . .. There is always going to be people who want to play military themed games me Quote
Duff-e Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 i dont know....it looks cool to me.....who cares about whats innovative if its fun to play....oh wait its just that some people are JEALOUS Quote
Taylor Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 The engine this mod is going to be created on hasn't even been released yet, are you implying people are jealous of the gameplay offered by a mod with no current gameplay? Quote
Ewok Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 As much as I hate being the "ass" type, I also am put off but modern warfare mods of today. Besides CS, I won't really try anything else. It's too boring. But I won't let that preference detract from the fact that those are very nice renders and it seems some very hard work has been put into this mod, provided by a very able team of guys. And i'd like to say congratulations on having your mod supported by PC Gamer, that is truely awesome. Best of blesses for the future. - Ewok Quote
Urban Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 ewok > all of you besides his point about cs... cause cs imho is more boring then most of these new mods... Quote
Duff-e Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 you're jealous that nothing you did was ever important....not the mod itself Quote
Crackerjack Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Front Line Force = boo Move IN! = not out Hostile intent = meh Firearms = boo Desert Crisis = never played it.. never will. Anyone see a patern here? And to back it up.. http://www.steampowered.com/status/game_stats.html Or hey, i have Battlefield 1942.. why not play some Desert Combat, since ultimatly the same exact thing. I would really like to see something different from the HL2 mod community. To many modern warfare mods. I like to see more Project Hull type mods. Or maybe some kungfu mod. who knows. A reminder, this not directed towards anyone, just an opinion. Quote
