Vashj:

Wriggle, 70 undead rogue.

Komachi, 21 orc warrior.

Levelling up Komachi to be a Death Knight in WotlK.

Twisting Nether:

Timeless, 68 orc warlock.

I sold Timeless (then called Aiidoneus on Vashj) shortly after TBC hit because I didn't like the warlock class anymore. But the guy who took her hasn't used her, just cleaned out her bags and replaced my tier 2 with greens :(

I played it for about two hours after it came out and thought it was uninteresting on every level. While the world is very big, I didn't find a single part of it particularly exciting to visit. I also thought the gameplay was completely bland, consisting of little skill or taxing the senses in any apparent way.

There are plenty of justified reasons for disliking the game, I’ve quit it twice now and only really play it because it keeps me in contact with my brothers and old school friends. Most of my time playing it is spent complaining about it.

But you seriously haven’t seen anything in two hours in regards to both exploration and skill set, especially on a new character running around the newbie zone with bare minimum. True, you’re never going to hit SHOOTAN GAEM levels of flinch and adrenaline, but that’s not what the genre is about to begin with.

I think a large part of it is that I just don't find the act of exploring a big world particularly interesting in itself, nor do I find the social/status side of it appealing. While I loved doing exploring in adventure games, that's because there was a storyline that tugged at various emotions while you did so, humour, and interesting characters to meet.

I've never been able to see what people actually find good about games like World of Warcraft. There's clearly something there, but I honestly felt no emotion while playing it other than "I want to stop doing this right now" — it truly failed to grab me on any level, ranging from gameplay to story to graphics to scale. Absolutely no aspect of it caught my imagination at all, which is terrible after even two hours (Which might seem like a drop in the ocean to a WoW addict, but is actually quite an intensive gaming session in my opinion!).

I'm fairly sure I saw enough in those two hours to make a decision about whether or not it was for me. If a game fails to please you in a single way after that long, it's not for you. The only entertainment I did divulge was the comical fighting, which consisted of me doing little more than repeatedly pressing a button or few.

I'm not trying to convince you otherwise or anything, I think it’s completely valid to loathe he idea of jumping through so many hoops just to get started. But I just wanted to stress the combat and other gameplay mechanics do get much more fleshed out as you head towards the end-game.

I haven't played it either and tbh the game appears to me incredibly boring and pointless when i watch other people playing it.

I used to be addicted to a mmorpg called Siebenwind (was a kinda fan mod for Ultima Online) for nearly 2 years but this was a whole different story. All the players in that game actualy "played a role", like actors in an interactive fantasy movie. You had to write a 4 pages character story for your char that had to be believable and stick to the background story of the game in order to get accepted as a player. And then you were constantly observed by invisible game masters (moderators) and if you talked off character or behaved out of character you were banned from the game. The rules were pretty tight but that allowed an incredibly deep and fantastic rpg experience, better then a game like wow or any other stock rpg-game could ever provide.

Came back to the game in January, and this is what I play now.

Achalita, 70 Draenei Paladin (I am raiding as Retribution! +1% hit racial helps for that purpose):

http://www.armory-light.com/eu/Defias+B ... /Achalita/

Iknowbubblfu, 31 Human Paladin, which I first started on my new account but abandoned to roll on my old server again (Defias Brotherhood):

Anchali, 63 Draenei Mage. This character is on my old account, which is now in use by some bloke I've never met. He paid generiouslly for the account though!

http://www.armory-light.com/eu/Defias%2 ... d/Anchali/

My previous main was a 70 Holy Paladin with the best healing-gear on the server at that time. I have not been able to track down where he went to :<
