-HP- Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 Has anyone played through it already? I've read a couple of reviews, and it seems an awesome game! Plus, GianBomb also reviewed it, with a score of 5/5! I've played the first one, and I loved it, the atmosphere is just so spooky! I guess I'm gonna order this one next week Quote
Erratic Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 Waiting on what I hope will be the inevitable PC version. Seems to be more action focused than the first, which is a bit worrying seeing as how awesome the pacing of the first was, but still eager to play it. Quote
Algor Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 Beat it, and have to say I prefer the first game much more. I will likely post a more detailed review later. Quote
Mazy Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 Its coming out next week here, but I really loved most of the first game, an absolutely amazing launch title in my opinion. The things that felt kinda rushed and maybe not totally thought through seem to have been fixed in this one (The investigative portion of the game at least), so thats cool. I hope its less supernatural and more "real"/explainable things going on in this game than in the first one, thats one part that really turned me off. Quote
Buddy Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 I didn't realised it is arleady released O_O Quote
D3ads Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 I didn't realised it is arleady released O_O Only in the US. Watching the videos, it looks awesome, I love the way you can throw someone into a tv screen Quote
dux Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 I bet the Daily Mail can't wait to review this game Quote
Mazy Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 http://www.escapistmagazine.com/article ... -Bloodshot SPOT. FUCKING. ON. I so totally agree with him. I'm absolutely disgusted with how they've fucked up C2, and totally missed most of the things that the first game did great (Yahtzee's example with the serial killer in the house is exactly what I'm talking about). So sad that they went the supernatural route and officially put the final nail in the coffin. Quote
-HP- Posted April 17, 2008 Author Report Posted April 17, 2008 Too bad, I was with high expectations for this one... Quote
Erratic Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 The demo is out on XBL with little announcement for those who haven't tried it. Still wanting that PC version Quote
madgernader Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 I never actually played the first one, But Ive been meaning to pick it up, it looked cool, and all my friends said it was great. But the Demo for C2 was a dissappointment. It looked great and all, but like people have said its abit supernatural, which ruined it for me, I Thought the original was cool because you fought addicts and other PEOPLE, not (C2 demo related spoiler / generic enemy type) Evil Black Oil/Goo/tar things that jump out of the walls and attack you So I probably wont pick it up, unless the price drops. I played through and finished it a couple days ago. You certainly fight thugs and addicts more often than the super natural creatures but it does suck they showed up at all. The demo isn't the best indication of that, because it's split about 50/50 with the enemy types but I'd say just pick up the first if you can find it. It's a better game overall. C2 really only offers better combat mechanics and a better investigation mode (which is quite cool). The rest, save for a few early levels that feel like the first game, it kinda let me down. Quote
madgernader Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 Yea, thats what I was planning to do, Although I was hoping for more from C2 since I'm a fan of my ps3 over 360, but the original isnt on ps3 oh well Quote
