Pericolos0 Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 do i see virtual displacement mapping there? ;o Quote
zaphod Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 I'm working on a different demo using the same engine for a different project pitch right now. The engine has virtual displacement mapping, normal mapping, specualr mapping, GI, real time shadows, etc. It's pretty neat, but the neatest thing is the art pipeline for it, which is very similar to a tile based engine, only in full 3d. I.E. everything is very modular and it's fun and extremely fast to take all the little pieces you have made and arrange them all in the editor. It's an awesome break from working in full on 3d at least. Quote
Tequila Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 So, Bloodlines is polished off but waiting for those Valve bastards to get their act together, and Troika are making lots of saucy techdemos with a particularly tasty new engine. I like the sound of this! Quote
The Postman Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 Very delicious. If you chaps make a spiritual successor to the Fallout series you'll have won my undying devotion. Quote
