KIIIA Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 Me once again, with the next project for my application book. My aim was to create a female head front shot with perfect anatomy in a clinical, almost sterile environment. (The final version of the book will also have a blueish cold feel, and a grid blended over her face, showing that her beauty results from mathematicaly measureable perfect proportions). After a lot of fucking around with maya hair and pfx (it took me longer than modeling and texturing the girl i guess) i ended up using a normal poly mesh as the strictly tied hair: - - - Quote
hessi Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 your camera has some really short focal length. please use a smaller FOV. the proportions dont look right at all places. i think it would need a little tweaking to become "perfect". since i am low on time this is all i can tell you now. in any way i think you are improving a lot since i know your work for quite a couple of years now. dux Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 The proportion does look strange, face on it looks like the head is half a rugby ball. And the last screenshot the face looks like one of th ose South American face totems. Quote
KIIIA Posted March 17, 2008 Author Report Posted March 17, 2008 yay, mapcore is up again....using this opportunity to show the reworked version of that face: - - - Quote
Pericolos0 Posted March 17, 2008 Report Posted March 17, 2008 improvement! The mouth is still very strange though, try to get a more real shape on there and more volume. Study some pictures of lips and you'll see they have a more complex shape than most people think. Personally i really dont like this sterile style and the hair shader looks really shitty imo, I would try to improve those areas with good texture work. Quote
