Hi There folks my name is Stuart Godfrey and I am the Recruitment Manager here at Climax Studios in Portsmouth Harbour in the UK. We are one of the leading creative lights of independent games development with a great history, but our future is even more exciting with awesome titles such as Silent Hill Origins, Ferrari, Viva Piñata for Windows and an unannounced title for Codemasters as well as our groundbreaking original next-gen game for the PS3 and the Xbox 360.

Climax are looking for a Gameplay designer with a proven track record in designing and implementing combat gameplay to join one of our experienced teams in creating an exciting new action game. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to help drive the gameplay experience for an original action game title.

Required -

Minimum of one released action adventure/combat game on CV.

Detailed understanding of combat mechanics - both design of animations and moves and the technical systems underpinning a combat system.

Experience liaising with both animation teams and programming teams.

Experience with Renderware, Unreal or similar game engines.

Demonstrates the ability to learn new tools quickly.

An excellent eye for detail and quality control.

Flexibility and adaptability to perform other design tasks on a project as required.

Possess good written and oral communication skills, essential in sharing ideas and concepts.

      Two new asset releases!

      First up is Basalt. Sadly I can't release all of the assets as some of the nature stuff is from Megascans and can't be redistributed. Also only includes the assets I've made.


      Second one is assets I've made for Pitstop. A small release that includes some road and concrete trim textures, a bunch of sponsors and some skybox buildings that might be useful.


      As always, free for non-commercial use with attribution.
