    Hello!
    My name is Dendygar, used to be Ownagefish at times.
    I've been doing level design exclusively in the Source engine for about 9 years, and I've only ever posted stuff on Facepunch. Besides that I've done some private Unreal Engine 4 plugin work! I just like to work on stuff in hammer from time to time!

    Updated the map with better lighting and more detail. Slight changes in timings as well, but only by moving the CT spawn a little bit.

    Thanks for the tip! I'll be sure to avoid combining Transparency and Alpha from now on. Here's how it turned out!

    Does anyone else love to play around with projected textures? I used to have hours of fun just playing with them back when I used to make P2 maps. So I decided to have some fun with them.
    Only thing is, I have no clue why this one isn't casting a shadow of the chain-link decoration when the wallpaper box has one... The world may never know.
    Either way, they're lot's of fun!

    Hey,
    I'm working alone on one of the biggest projects in my life! I'm trying to make danger zone map. I want to show you some my work!
    My idea is tropical style, I haven't seen similar style in CS:GO yet.
    On the map you will be able to explore a lot of regions:  beaches, tropical villages, bamboo platform, cliffs, and planning also some caves and more!
    I realize, that there probably will be a lot of bugs, because It's very hard to make huge danger zone map without bugs, so I'm really looking for testers, if someone is interested in, just invite me on steam.

    Models and textures some are self-made, and some I Have bought on sites with models

    PS: I don't know if Valve support this mode already, but I love making open worlds! and I wanted to try myself.

    Thank you! This is great advice.
    I think I have 1-2 major locations, town and top right corner of the map(?).
    I totally forgot about minimap, so I made one quickly.
    Story of the map: it's tourist town where strange anomalies began to occur, which is why the army appeared.

    Hey, I'm working on a map for danger zone mode. It's still very early WIP. For now I'm almost done with general ideas for all locations.
    I wanted to share what I have created so far, although it doesn't look beautiful. I'm trying to work as fast as possible to finally play and test it with the players, but there is a lot of work and very little time. 
    Maybe after the pictures someone has feedback that could help me.

    Hey guys!
    My name is Tune and I'm from USA. I often went by a few online aliases like "Prototstar", "Naamtune", and most recently, "CannedTuna".
    I started my venture in to game modding and dev back in the early 2000s, beginning with the fun map editor for Age of Empires, designing fun story-based missions for my younger sisters to play with. 
    Around mid-2000s I ventured in to level design for Half Life Sven Coop mod, making linear levels for my friends and I to gun blaze through on the weekends. As time went on I migrated over to Source Engine, acquiring new skillset in designing texture along the way. For Source, I was designing maps such as a recreation of COD Modern Warfare's multiplayer map, Vacant, for CSS.
    As I was getting more confident in my skills I began to volunteer to work for different modding teams. Some of those mods I've worked on were Operation Black Mesa and World War 1 Source as level designer and environmental artist. Outside of releasing levels, I had also published several free texture assets on FPSBanana for Goldsrc and Source.
    After graduating from highschool in 2011, I disappeared off the radar for a long period of time. I found a career working in IT for aerospace manufacturing company, spearheading numerous business projects, overseeing the west coast infrastructure, and helping out with business acquisitions. During this time I was monitoring the game dev scene and saw the industry booming rapidly and tech was progressing quite fast that it felt overwhelming to keep up with. Nonetheless, this hiatus period was a time period where I began to stabilize myself emotionally and financially.
    Last year was a slow venture back in to game development. I began creating custom assets for Cities Skylines after being fed up with lack of decent industrial buildings. This involved learning an unfamiliar workflow and new tools like Maya and Substance along the way.
    Recently I was brought into a new studio as one of the business partner to help with a development of an untitled indie game, to assist with forming the studio backend, and oversee the studio operation.

    screen grab of a re-purposed old map, finally something for danger zone, will hopefully become another odd one out -- nothing casual, very vertical, shotguns and smg + power jumps and hopefully featuring all the latest valve shenanigans for csgo hammer! :D~
