    (Not sure if this is the right place to post but it seems that many have this problem). 
    In terri's auto radar (TAR) you may see that the map is stretched on one side or cut off. 
    Change the antialiasing setting in tar_config to none, it will get rid of the problem.

    Hi, i'm a new mapper from finland, i have never made actually finished map so my skills are not too good. 
    I started 3 months ago mapping and have made constant progress after it. 

    I'm here to get help in my mapping "journey" and I might be participating in the mapcore contest (Who knows :)).

    check if you have any object in 2 tar visgroups, try deleting and then adding back the tar_config. Hopefully it will get fixed in a new update.

    Would it be able that i could continue making the map?
    I think that is a very promising and inspiring idea, and it has potential.
     
    edit. I should read the comments more carefully , you are still working on the map, just not for the competition.

    FWI I have stopped working on this map for the competition. Its a a lot of work to do before the March deadline that I cant simply do, being in school and everything. I will be working on this map and others outside of the competition though on my own time when I feel like it. Being here was fun till it lasted.

    VR does indeed suck, I mean we can just be honest about this, we're all friends here. VR sucks. It's not good. It's bad. You're strapped to a computer, you might not have room for room-scale (doesn't sound like this one will be room-scale), it takes forever to get everything unpacked and ready to go, it's barely worth the hassle once you get "presence". All of this is objectively true. VR sucks ass. It's not good. It's very bad.
    THAT BEING SAID, it's a Half-Life game, it will probably be very cool. It will be, hopefully, the "best case scenario" for VR. I don't want to dismiss it outright because I hate VR. (but I do hate VR). I'm hoping it will redeem the entire premise of VR, which heretofore has only been cringe.
    It's obvious that decades in the future VR will be all there is, and I suppose we don't get there without these kind of necessary steps.

    A map set in a server room/construction site/mall.
    This is a very fast paced map.
    A sites layout is done and the mid is partially done.

    I have a good layout idea now (not going to publish it yet). I'm going to use the default csgo models, some models from de_breach and de_zoo, also some models and textures from unity assetstore. (I'm too lazy to model anything myself  ).

    There’s 4 months still! I don’t see why not. If you have started a map you must remember the layout so will be queasy and quick to create it.
    The problem might be the detailing, but if the layout is tested then it’s just work and so it all hinges on your patience and proficiency. But having worked in the past months you know where you are headed.
    You could always fall back to default assets or find royalty free ones or even license something that you only need to convert to the right format… there are so many ready-made kits on the different 3D marketplaces that would allow to keep your style consistent. I’m no artist and we are talking about stuff made by professionals, so I wouldn’t hesitate one minute to buy something like that, considering how much longer it would take me to get to produce that amount of assets (to a much lower quality).

    removed middle path as it wasn't used too much. Added some wood to block sightlines, first playable (with people) release coming soon.

    Thank you very much for testing this!
    This version was done on a different PC, and I must have messed up when setting up custom textures and packing with VIDE. 
    I'll recompile an old version.
    (Like in the patch notes, I need to fix those nade lineups anyway. If you were wondering what they're supposed to be for, one of them is a smoke at A that lets you push onto the site, and another is a smoke for the tunnel.)
    Something I noticed : I don't have to wait for my workshop submission to be approved anymore.
    I guess 15 or so updates with patch notes is enough for them to "trust" it.
