I believe the last shot would benefit from a more contrasting sky color as things look unbelievably white/bright. Looks pretty luxurious otherwise!

I would enjoy this map, but as soon as I saw the enemy's playermodels the effect was ruined and I was no longer immersed in the hyper realistic world of csgo. Soon after I noticed that you failed to replicate a vehicular assembly line that would function efficiently in real life. Additionally, there were several violations of workplace safety regulation that I spotted throughout the factory that made it difficult to aim because my whole body was convulsing. I understand that you care about "gameplay" and all that other soft crap but I would like if you recreated a real car factory with local workers and special forces (preferably a night mission).

The project that I've been working on from on and off. It started off in Unity but then I've moved it to Unreal. Its pretty close to completion, thinking of a night setting aswell

So I just learned something very interesting today...
There's an unused shader in CS:GO called ParallaxTest which allows for parallax mapping on textures with an alpha channel embedded in the base texture. It's actually super cool! But since it's not done and probably never will be, it's always FullBright.
It's a shame really, I'd love to use this. But I guess I'll have to pray that Valve fixes it someday. Imagine the possibilities with something like this.

Got this done just in the nick of time. I guess this is the rough draft, since the map contains basically no detail as it is. But it was a fun project and worth the crunch.

Thanks @Roald for making such a cool graybox. And good luck to everyone in the contest!

I'm very sorry for your grandfather @Interfearance, life is fragile.
You didn't ask me for advice or opinion, but you do indeed sound like you have a lot of anger pinned up, understandably so. Go mourn your grandfather, go be there for your family, trust me they need you. Go hug your grandmother (I'm sure she's going through a lot right now). I haven't been able to go home in nearly 2 years now, I would give anything right now to be able to hug my grandmother for just 30 seconds, she's in her 80's now and looked after me my whole childhood. We should never take family or loved ones for granted.
As for this country, I don't necessarily believe it's falling apart, it's just incredibly divided and until regular people regain their ability for listening and to have dialogue, it will never get better. So there's a lot the individual can do still, but to despair or to blame is seldom a viable way for a bright future, quite the contrary. If this year proved anything to us, is that things can always get worse, we could be in Venezuela or NK right now, yet we're sitting on our sofas, in air conditioned rooms blaming the world for everything that happens through our expensive smart phones.
Growing up, I had the fortune and opportunity of listening to chatter by a lot of old people. They talked about wars, famine, the horror's of fascist and communist governments in mid 20th century Europe and even though I didn't live through it, I'm thankful for this second hand absorption of appreciation and knowledge. My grandfather would say that as a child, he couldn't wait for Christmas because he would always get a new pair of shoes, and my mother would say that as a child she couldn't wait for Christmas because she would always get a chocolate bar. Can we even fathom that nowadays? A life where you only get a pair of shoes a year, or a generation later you're lucky if you get a candy bar per year?
Nowadays, many of our struggles is not due to too little, but due to too much. Too much technology exposure, too much information, too much politics, too much hate, too much finger pointing, too much 24 hour news cycle, too much materialism and too little time spent on things that matter or on self betterment. Many people I know haven't seen the sun in months and spend their days refreshing the news, no wonder we're all depressed.
As you think, you become. We gotta be strong and build a better tomorrow, dont wait for 25.

My grandpa died in hospital presumably due to the virus or usual negligence, my left neighbors wife got cancer and my right neighbors husband got the virus. A close family friends father has died to the virus as well. It fills me with anger every time I see groups of people without masks.
My view of this country has pretty much fallen apart over the past few years. People are living paycheck to paycheck and irresponsible corps are getting bailed out for their mismanagement of billions. We now have to choose from two horrendous candidates that had their campaigns funded by a handful of the 0.1%. We have 25% of the world prison population and one of the highest re offending rates. Crime is exponentially higher than similar countries. I can go on for days like this. Every developed country has issues but the US takes it to the next level, thinking it is the best all the while. It seems like it is too late to do anything and we have been falling down pretty much every social progress index since the 90s while disparity grows.
I need to get out of this nightmare by 25

Looks really nice and I love the mood. Even with the dark time of day it has a very pleasant feel to it. Nice work!
You should get it playtested sooner rather than later, even if you don't have all the architecture thought out. At a glance, the map seems very open with a lot of long sight lines. It reminds me of Ruby in that regard and that was one of the map's biggest problems. The road that leads to B in particular seems like a daunting approach with little cover. It's also not clear to me how utility would be used to take the site. Maybe I'm not getting the full picture but that's my impression based on the screenshots (the new and the old ones).
If I could offer a word of caution, it would be to not let the realism of your theme override the need for good gameplay. That's what killed Ruby for me. Not to hate on Ruby so much—it's just such a great case study on how a map can look absolutely gorgeous and yet produce poor gameplay.

And to ease your confusion about being spotlighted, it simply means @FMPONE added your thread to the spotlight on the front page, where it is now visible on the top bar under the mapcore logo for more exposure and for everyone to see it. we reserve the spotlight for worthy threads/posts/articles, and this thread falls under this.
