  1. Oh, don't get me wrong - I like the series, but always felt it was overpriced. The levels remind of playing chess, in that the game is very simple, but there are a lot of moves. Like Chess however, I can only move my piece in a very narrow set of directions. So, the amount of money being asked for a game which is limited by level design feels forced to hide the fact the levels are very simple for the money. Lots of waiting for the NPC's to move into their pre-determined positions and animation sequences, laid out by the game designer. I think it's odd level designing in that it could be argued the level designing is more about placing NPC's into a pre-built level, rather than line of sight geometry of say, an FPS. If you or anyone has any talks on the level designing for Hitman series, or even some design documents; I'd love to read them. But yah, the levels feel like a forcing of the player, whereby they must sit and wait a lot of the time, just to make the level/session take longer than it would probably need to be. A small point: why has DX12 been cut from this release? And the CPU demand seems way higher than 2016. Glacier engine revamp for consoles? Something under the hood has changed somewhere. Wouldn't mind finding out what and why.
  2. No. Just over-priced for everything it offers. General VFM.
  3. What really surprises me is that "Newt", played by Carrie Henn, is now 42 years old and looks like this: Almost as old as me...almost.
  4. The price-tag is not justified. It is a good game, but not a full-price brand new game. Maybe in a year, when the price comes down 'like, maybe...60-65%...then it'll be worth it.
  5. In short, when all is said and done...Bethesda just lowered the bar on what a AAA game is meant to be. That's it guys. That's it.
  6. Those shapes were the things that did it. Rules be rules, I can't start the next one - so over to the first poster to start the next one...
  7. I don't think you can spoilt it. We all know what happened. It's like that Titanic movie...
  8. Dust 2 I think one of the most famous levels ever created in 3d multiplayer might be of service to your goal...
  9. Fair play. I posted it as it does have a few variants on the name globally, as I was thinking about the last film and the number of variants it has, hence my listing of this. As an aside, I got into a lengthy argument with an ex-colleague about the title of the film, as the international trailer had one name, yet the version released onto home DVD/BD had another name.
  10. Yup, Roman Polanski film from a few short years ago. You win, just name it for clarity and we can move on
  11. Good luck everyone - I'm going easy on you all this time
  12. AKA: Argentina Blanco Perfecto Bulgaria (Bulgarian title) Снайперист Brazil Sniper, O Atirador Canada (English title) Sniper Canada (French title) Tireur d'élite Germany Sniper - Der Scharfschütze Denmark Snigskytten Spain En el corazón de la jungla Finland Sniper - sala-ampuja France Sniper - Tireur d'élite Greece (transliterated ISO-LATIN-1 title) Eleftheros skopeftis Croatia Snajper Hungary Lopakodók Italy One Shot One Kill - A colpo sicuro Japan (English title) (literal title) Leopard Never Sleeps Japan Yamaneko wa nemuranai Poland Snajper Portugal Beckett, O Atirador Romania Lunetistul Romania Ţintaş de elită Serbia Snajperista Russia Снайпер I might have seen a trailer in a hotel/motel in the 90's whilst in Europe, or on a plane, I never actually saw the movie myself, just knew it had the word 'sniper' in the title somewhere. So - I wins? edit: It might be an idea to formulate/summarise which films have been used on the front page, so as not to repeat them, as we are at 55 pages now!
  13. Oh, that's Sniper-something, can't remember what.
  14. Moustache + assault rifle = awesome movie.
  15. http://bobbyross.com/library/mpleveldesign This is considered good practice for multiplayer level design.
  16. I know the answer - I knew it when I saw the picture. I'm just trying to stay out of this one.
  17. I srsly doubt I will play this game online, not if GTAV is anything to go by...it's so conveyor-belt, no meaning, no substance to it.
  18. And we have a winner! Yes, the Dodge M4s Turbo Interceptor Charlie Sheen and (if no one was able to spot her) Sherilyn Fenn, pre Platoon and pre Twin Peaks. Sherilyn was Laura Palmer in that show and was the one that the entire series revolved around...'who killed Laura Palmer' was the topic at hand every day at work and school. Also of note is Randy Quaid as the sheriff and an obscure Star Trek actor, Mr Clint Howard - who played this character: ...In one of my favourite episodes of TOS 'The Corbomite Maneuver'. In The Wraith his character was a little more 80's and grown up: The connections and '6 degrees of Kevin Bacon' one can do with this movie if you are a tight spot, on the spot, are pretty amazing. So yeah - a great cheesy 80's movie, but wow - what a car.
  19. Someone will get it soon, guaranteed.
  20. Just a film buff with a pocket full of useless knowledge :)
  21. May I suggest asking friends, colleagues, family etc - that car is legendary.
  22. Dude...once you know who is in it, the subject matter, the plot, the cinematography (just look at the two shots above! The car, with its low and dominating camera angle @ 1.85:1 on a spherical lens, signifying the utter power and dominance of the car - then the girl in the red bikini, being surrounded by straight lines of the towels, and the angle looking down upon her, signifying her entrapment of character...the list goes on and on.) There are some VERY big names in this movie. I really thought it would be an easy one...
  23. Let me get another screengrab to help you all. If you can identify the actress in the red bikini, you will get it inside of 10 seconds - but another shot of the car will probably do it. This is an easy win for someone And yes, that is spooky ethereal power emanating from the wheels...
