  1. Interesting talk with Elige from Team Liquid. Talks about the competitive map pool and community maps straight after the intro.
  2. Any chance that a diff tool like TwentyTwenty could be added to the site? It would be really nice way to show off the changes to your levels while you are working on them. The CS GO Team uses the same plugin when releasing a blog post about new maps, like Inferno or Dust II.

    After taking some time to gather and break down the feedback it's pretty obvious that there are a few major flaws with the map in it's current state. T's are very limited when going mid, mainly because of the awkward S-curve I added to keep T's from getting to mid too early. I will redesign this area to make it more interesting for attackers. T's are very limited when going B. While the hard chokepoint is intended it's no fun for terrorists to stand around and wait while smokes are up. I will connect this area to mid more to give attackers something to do mid-round. It's safe to say that I have a scaling issue and that the map is too big because of it. While the theme features large structures I kinda went overboard with the scale. I have started to scale things down and will probably try to make the map 20-25% smaller. Thank you to everyone who have provided feedback so far! Slow progress this week. Haven't been able to get much done, but regularly posting some progress might help out. We'll see...

    It's revive time! Complex (de_complex) This project was never really dead and have been a great learning process for me. The old theme and layout may be long gone, but to me, this is still the same map I intended to make back then. So, the name stays... It took me a long time to figure out you need a strong central theme, and I think I found mine. The map is based on the Temple of Philae, an Egyptian temple complex located on an island in the Nile. Workshop link More images below! Playtest soon! Have to make sure that everything in this version works first.
  7. Here is some feedback I gathered from last night playtest. I mainly played on the A-site of the map.

Update: https://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/2019/05/24172/ Biggest change: [GAMEPLAY] – Loss bonus money will now always step down to $2,900 after a team with a $3,400 max loss bonus streak wins a round. This is a weird description, because it only mentions this specific round and not what happens if you win the following rounds. But I tried it out and it basically means that the loss bonus no longer stacks, but caps at $3400. Great change IMO!

  11. Have had a break from mapping for a while. Finally managed to solve some timing issues in mid to make the map play well (in theory). Will playtest with a couple of friends next week and probably make a thread after that. Mid A-site
