  1. yea it's a mixture of stuff.. old/new/gifts. i got the mb as a gift, the kotetsu gets me up to 4.5 easily.. will try to get to 4.7. 1 thing for sure is that g3258 scales well with it's OC and you benefit a lot from it. gpu is old, but it's fine for csgo, i play on minimal settings on 1024x768 and i get 200+- fps. i mostly want to upgrade the gpu because it's fan has become noisy and i cant stand it.. rattles like a mofo (but temps are good). and i'd like that low temperature for zero rpm fan from a gtx960/970 for when im not gaming.
  2. shittiest movie i've seen in a while.. doesn't compliment the older ones at all. total waste of time.

  4. thanks guys i will get right into it!
  5. thank you guys, i will use those resources. started with worldofleveldesign.
  6. all i found was tutorials from this site: worldofleveldesign.com which are quite dated, are there any others that might help me learning how to map and use tools like Hammer? links are welcomed, ty
  7. no, there are skins for Quake Live that make the weapon visible but only meerly.. being white to truansulcent. there are also commands that do it i belive: cg_drawGun 3 cg_gunx -10 cg_guny 3 cg_gunz -10 this is how it sort of looks: http://mrclan.com/avi/fileimages/1283593560.jpg the thing is, valve probably made it illegal.. i get it. but why on earth it's translated to white color within the VTFedit program? even before i get it in the game, when i finish the TGA file and i see it as a transparent file in photoshop, i "convert" it to VTF using the program and it's shown within VTFEdit (not CSGO) as as a white color.. this doesnt make sense :/ thanks for the help btw.
  8. I want to know which programs i need to learn in order to make good maps for Source engine games. i know Hammer is the Map editor, but what do i use for textures (for the walls/floors etc.) and what do i use for making props (items in-game etc)? Blender and Photoshop are all that's needed to make a quality map?.. let's say for example like the new DE_SEASON, which i think artisticly and comptetivly is very nice. which tools do i need to learn to make a map like that?
  9. i used alpha's to try and make it happen, and all was good, but when i ported it back to VTF with VTF Editor, it made all of the invisible part white. any help?.. i know people make some glossy textures which is kind of the same as this, what am i doing wrong? used these guides (i'm quite a newb to PS or any design):
