    Hi guys, im working on a competitive CS GO map and i would love some feedback and comments on what you think in terms of layout and overall gameplay:

    de_corp
    A holding company has seen involvement in a major embezzlement scheme.
    Large amounts of illegally acquired cash are being evacuated from the newly build headquarter.
    Counter Terrorists are on site to defend the assets from insurgents.
    Terrorists have arrived to destroy the money, fight the power and bring down the 1%.
     
    Whats missing:
    - Better overall polish and custom textures/props like furniture, corporate art, construction site props.
    - Improved skybox (buggy water)
    - Embezzlement theme: chart on walls, and "Embezzlement for Dummies" book
    - Money crates on sites and a money trail between A and B site where the cash is being moved.

    The map is still in early alpha and the art obviously need a lot of polish.

    Hi all,

    I'm working on a legal drama video game, to be released on mobile and eventually in a 3D PC port/upgrade. (Mobile version set for release in Q4 2016).

    Twelve Absent Men is a satirical legal adventure game with comedic characters, an enthralling storyline and a polished, modern cartoon look. Solve puzzles, confound witnesses and outwit the state prosecutor in this race to that crucial verdict: not-guilty!

    Here are some shots of my approach to the 3D art so far.

    This is pitch perfect. When I first scrolled past, I was like, "hey it's my neighborhood!" I see a lot of screenshots of people trying to get the feel of a certain city and it's usually with mixed results, buy you nailed it. Would love to see you take a stab at a full level.

    This would look a lot better with the props lit, but I had to use fast compile; the normal compile is taking like 20+ hours though, so clearly I've done something wrong here.
    Is this a map anyone would be interested in playtesting if I got it optimized properly?

    Since I've had no internet for the better part of 3 months I decided i'd try to make something pretty, even if the gameplay turns out to be bland, or if some things make no sense: 
    It's a WIP practice map, I hope you enjoy!
    Sorry about the video being on rails, and the actual quality of the video being balls. I've had to use Mc. Donalds internet for a while now, and 200 MBs of video takes an hour-and-a-half to upload. 
    I chose to post a video because you can't hear soundscapes through screenshots.
    Thanks to the authors of Agency, and Watersource for their assets!

    A big thanks from me as well! We just updated the workshop submission with the newest version: featuring a blue curtain instead of a black one! Major game changer!

    Change Notes: 
    - Improved clipping (no more boosting out of the map, sorry)
    - Slightly changed seating stairs leading to the stage 
    - Added details
    - Added grenade clip to the huge USA flag
    - Increased brightness in the Stage 1 and Stage 2 area
    - Decreased BloomScale from 1.2 to 0.5 (When going from indoors to outdoors, you won't get blinded as much anymore)

    we're seriously struggling with art direction in some parts of the map and we feel like we just can't get it right. I personally think we've made a huge visual mess.
    bear in mind that it's still wip, there's no 3d skybox and we haven't really done any proper detailing in many parts, we're just trying to get things to look nice and readable first.
    feedback is highly appreciated.

    Yes Blender has splines but i used a different method that i found to be much more suitable for modeling this type of ornaments from ref. Which is also the reason why i learn Blender. This technique doesn't work in max or at least it would be much more cumbersome. Basicly in Blender you can create polystrips like for retopo that have depth and curvature to them but you can do it mid air easily which i'm using for the outer shapes and edge flow and then you have some very powerful scripts to fill in and create polies which are context sensitive and all use the same keyboard shortcut.
    Here is a video demonstrating the technique:
    Blender also has another alternative/extension to splines which is some next level shit called bsurfaces:

    Tried out photo scanning today! I think the results from the software are insane considering my shoddy camera work and poor lighting conditions . I uploaded the model to sketchfab, if anyone's interested.
