    Hi!
    River is a somewhat overpass inspired map based on LA river and its' surroundings. Formerly known as De_Mical and before that as De_Honeycomb.

    I already saw some cod1 maps mentioned and I feel the need to mention one of the most impressive cod:uo custom maps I've seen: uo_broadsword, influenced by the movie where eagles dare, featuring a huge alpine landscape with a castle on a mountaintop only reachable by cable cars.

    Knowing the limitations of the engine, the sheer size and scale of this map amazes me.

    Hey guys,

    a friendly community is doing Mapping Gathers more or less once/twice a year where the goal is to create a functional (surf) map within 3 hours.
    We are all a group of mediocre to advanced surfers and/or mappers that meet on teamspeak, throw together a nice map each and then afterwards play through them.

    Here's a video featuring the latest creations, starring MapCore community members Mark C. and yours truely (as Keith/Attacus).

    Hello there!
    We've been working on this for a while now and we want to start sharing some progress. Everything is still very much WIP, but we'd be happy to get any and all C&C we can get.
    Some info about the map: it's being worked on by @BubkeZ, @Yanzl and myself. It is build from the 1.6 version that was released by BubkeZ a year ago (Youtube link).
    Originally, @FMPONE took the job to port this map to CS:GO, but due to Santorini he wasn't able to spend enough time to this project.
    Its original name was de_mirage2, but we've chosen to go with a different theme and name.
    Since then we've been hard at work and a lot has changed both visually and layout-wise. Now on to some pictures!

    Tbh it just looks like you discovered how to place props and did that everywhere where you found a little space to do so.
    It doesn't look appealing at all.

    Hey guys! I have started on a remake of the 1.6 and Source map de_piranesi. The map is as some om you know set in some sort of de_cbble -esque theme, and I really like it!
    I started remaking it a day ago or so, by downloading a big file of all official CS:S maps .vmfs. Then I opened de_piranesi in hammer, and started to remove all props that appeared as errors. This process took around an hour. Now I am just replacing every blank texture with a dev texture for the moment, when Im done I'll start working on layout (I never played it in Source or 1.6, does anyone know if it was CT/T-sided?) and then custom textures.
    Anyway, so far I have completely textured CT-Spawn, the part after CT and a big chunk of A-site.
    Also, I found a super-weird bug on A when I dropped a flash on one of the crates. It started shaking and making a weird noise before exploding.

    27 Days ago reddit user 'TommyTwoFings' suggested that someone remake COD4's mp_crash, I decided that I would take on the challenge, here it is now, hope everyone enjoys!

    Honestly, the best way is just not caring.  Not many people are out there to steal your stuff.  Let people decompile your maps and learn from it.

    The brush work on the church is amazing. I would play it just for that! The layout looks solid too all though the CT mid into B with the scaffold looks a little tight.
