    Blackdog - yeah, using cs_concert assets for the instruments.
    Some more vehicles, and a bit of a top down of the area. I included some WIP pics of the 3d sky, and the door that RZL mentioned.
    Skybex is currently optimising the trees, and working on more vehicles.

    I didn't make any Photoshop specific things, but here's the process for making a color correction file in Photoshop:
    1. Download this image (this is the off.raw color correction LUT you can find in materials/correction, converted to png)

    2. Open a screenshot of your map in Photoshop.
    3. Drag the above LUT onto the Photoshop file. Don't change the scale. Move it to a corner. It should look something like this:

    4. Either apply the color correction adjustments you want using adjustment layers or flatten the image and use the regular color correction tools. 

    5. When you're happy with the result, crop the image to the LUT size - 1024 x 32 px. 


    6. Save the file as .raw with the following settings and move it into materials/correction. 

    7. You can now reference that file in Hammer and color correction should work. Don't forget to pack it when uploading to workshop.

    Streamline the Source engine workflow. Mostly substance stuff.
    Substance Shaders (and templates)
    Newly updated shaders for Substance Designer and Substance Painter. Supports Diffuse, Envmap reflection, Specular reflection, Glossiness, Metallic (Diffuse tint), Fresnel ranges and LightmappedGeneric mode. Also includes Painter templates and export presets and a glossiness wizard filter for Painter that can be used to create glossiness and envmap mask maps from specular mask or roughness.

    VMT Editor 
    PBR to Source
    A substance file and a VMT template that aim to match the PBR look as close as possible in Source (still a long way off). I don't suggest relying on this to make your materials (learn how Source handles materials instead), but it does an alright job with any PBR materials you might want to use in Source. Note that this converter only works on VertexLitGeneric. There's a brush version included but it requires manual tweaking based on the material.

    Radar generator
    Generates CS:GO radar images, both regular and spectate versions. For multi level radars you have to use multiple generators and blend them together. Can be used with masks from Terri's auto radar.
    Requires you to make overview image, playable area and spawn/plant zone masks.

    Sun color calculator
    A quick test project, calculates the color of your light_environment direct brightness based on the fact that the final color depends on both ambient and direct.

    Nice retake @blackdog!
    I'm still surprised how well the map is doing after all. Even though it's pretty different to the other competitive maps, many people seem to enjoy de_austria. But I'm lucky that it didn't replace a more popular map than canals. 😅 So pretty much no hate going on. No death threats. Nothing. 😎
    It's also pretty funny to watch all those youtube guides that tell me how I should play my own map so that I don't get destroyed completely anymore. I'm getting better slowly... 😊

    Hello!
    Some of you already know but after ~1.5 years in development lots of playtesting and iterations I finally released Ruby on the workshop!

    The trip to Lisbon I took at the beginning of development to shoot reference and record audio resulted in the map having:
    ~100 custom models
    ~60 custom materials
    ~100 custom sounds
    All based on the Portuguese city.

    The size and timings of the map are comparable to maps currently in active duty and the layout with clear land marks and a few unique areas should be easy to learn for every player of every skill level. 
    There's also a small MapCore easteregg and the first person to find it gets a picture of a piece of cake!

    Once again I want to thank everyone here at MapCore who participated in playtesting or gave feedback during the development. 
    And please let me know what you guys think of the end result!

    I feel that it would be very beneficial for the community to be able to make use of the hub on a permanent basis.
    Although, I feel that active user numbers would definitely see a reduction if it was a permanent thing. Maybe the best way to go about this is to have the hub actively rotate a select number of maps, similar to how it's being implemented right now, but with monthly breaks in between to keep the players looking forward to the new maps.

    Hey guys, 
    fabE from FACEIT here! On behalf of the entire team, I wanted to congratulate everyone for participating and submitting some awesome maps, and in particular the Top 10 for some super interesting concepts and top notch execution. Really very impressed and can't wait to play them some more :-).
    The next big milestone for the contest will be polishing and re-submitting the Top 10 maps by January 10th, 2018.
    For this, we would like to contribute by offering the FACEIT platform, in particular a recently launched product feature: "Hubs", as a tool to the MapCore community. The MapCore Hub will serve two purposes
    Short-term: From December 18th - 22nd, MapCore and FACEIT will organise playtesting for the Top 10 Finalists of this contest. Per day, two maps will be playable on the Hub. We will update you which maps will be scheduled for which day, later this week. Long-term: As a community, Mapcore has a lot to offer and churns out quality content on a regular basis. The Mapcore Hub could become the outlet and platform for maps to be playtested, various sub-Hubs set up to cater for more casual or competitive users, special Hubs (Aim Map, 2v2, etc) created, and more. In the end, the direction for this can be decided by the Mapcore community and FACEIT will try to fulfil as many wishes as possible :-) For those interested in learning more about Hubs, please check out this and this article. I'm happy to answer any questions you guys may have, too. If you want to DM me directly, hit me up on Twitter or Discord - I'm on the Mapcore server.

    @Minos (and @Tokit, sorry can't tag you for some reason) agreed on the skybox. It's uncanny, especially with the hard shadows. Will need to work on this before final submission

    Seriously, I think CSGO could be a bit more COD… the Operations being more themed and introducing more different things, have more weapons to choose from… I mean they do it in TF2 and the game doesn’t brake.
