Hello everyone,
I am a professional designer just about ready to release a free custom mod I've been working on for over 2 years! This mod has custom maps, models, destructibles, code, shaders, and more that I need beta testers for. I'm looking for 8 volunteers, ideally senior members of this community, to help screen for final bugs & feedback.
What is Transmissions : Element 120?
A short single player experience set in the Half-Life Universe featuring a unique gravity defying weapon that allows you to jump buildings and sustain large falls. The story takes place at a mysterious date & location after the events of Half-Life : Episode 2. Where are you? Why have you been sent? To help bring the Source Engine up to date several new features are included:
Enhanced dynamic lighting Integrated Source Shader Editor 0.5 for enhanced post processing & lighting Improved support for complex physics structure Support for super massive physics objects Improved AI and group behavior on multiple AI types Below are the first public screenshots of the game and mapcore is first to have them:
Minimum Requirements
Processor: Pentium 4 - 3.0 GHz, or AMD equivalent
RAM: 1GB (1024 MB)
Graphics Card: Shader Model 2.0 capable, ATI 9600, NVidia 6600 or better
725MB of free HD space
My machine is 2 years old and the game runs great.
Source SDK Base 2007 must be installed for the mod.
What will volunteers do?
Play through the game which takes anywhere from 0.5-1 hours to complete. Report any game blocking bugs or severe visual glitches. Fill out a short questionnaire when you're done.

Hello mapcore, shipped is a new map I'm working on, normally I would playtest the map a bit more before posting on mapcore or share the map in general. But thought it might be interesting to try something new to get feedback early on and show more of the stages the map goes through.
I heard some say the map feels big and although there needs to be more player guiding/smaller paths the timings are the same as in most cs:go maps.

Also sorry for not showing any new aesthetic pics i was really busy and could only work on the layout.
The A path still needs work but i'm interesting in how middle will play now since it went under some big changes.
#EDIT1 if someone has any ideas what i could do with the left path for A i am open for suggestions

Sledge is a completely free and open-source replacement for Valve's Hammer Editor, with a focus on compatibility with both Goldsource and Source engines. The purpose of Sledge is to offer advanced editing features from later versions of Hammer and other editors and make them available to all users, regardless of which engine they choose to use.
Sledge uses the same file formats as Hammer does (RMF, MAP, VMF) and maps are compatible between both programs. The editing process is almost identical to Hammer, the hotkeys are the same, as well as many of the screen elements and dialogs. Switching to Sledge will not be difficult for users who are familiar with Hammer.
Sledge is currently in public alpha , which means that the author/programmer is still working on it and accepts help from others

I suggest checking this program it's really an amazing alternative.PB is at a moment working mostly on goldsource support.

So i was able to get some free time this week and decided to work on the map.
I changed the layout a little bit and im really happy with the changse but i'm still not able to show the picture of it
Anyways here are more aesthetic pictures:
First i don't know why the hell i started making The Museum of Revolution as a background part but it looks sweet i guess
It still needs some fixes but im really happy with what i got in 2days.
Also i think im gonna finish the T spawn first

Hi I'm new to Mapcore looking forwards to getting involved into this community.
I've been mapping for quite a few years, but this has been the first real challenge I've came across. The GameBanana/CEVO mapping comepition is something I wanted to do since the first one, but my deadlines at university we're the best timing and left me with 6 days that I could create this map in, and one of them 6 days I couldn't do any work.
So due to the limited time building, but having to push for this competition, I have kept it as "beta" as I fix bugs, improve structure and enhance the visuals (which aren't the best).
Any feedback would be much appreciated, I need some fresh eyes on this.. 5 days straight my judgement is off, I need a rest
