Are you using a receiver, or just plugging it directly to the TV? have you tried another HDMI port? Yep, I tried that. It's plugged directly in to the TV. I did a bit of investigating online and apparently it's down to the way certain TVs handle the HDCP handshake to verify the connection from HDMI. Some can display a black/blank screen whereas others can display a quick green flash. Lots of people seem to have the same thing, even with different devices and it was quite common on the PS3 too. I tried it on a different TV and it displayed fine, so that confirmed it wasn't an issue with the console at least. This solved a lot of HDMI problems for me (PS3, PS4 and XB1 all hooked up to one TV with ONE crappy HDMI port). Your results may vary, of course. I know I'm new around these parts but damn, you're a manly man Puds. I can't imagine going through that, yet you've come out of the other side stronger. I'm glad you're doing well man, I have a lot of respect for you and I hope your recovery goes smoothly.

I'd say go for it, you've got nothing to lose unless you're working full time. Like you said, it'll actually give you insight to the industry so you can decide if it's something you even want to pursue. I'm actually in a similar situation, I've just been offered two weeks of work experience in QA at a studio near me, which I've decided to take. I'm working full time but I've booked the two weeks as holiday. There's the chance of a job at the end of it as they occasionally hire people that do well during their work experience, maybe that's something Crytek do? But yeah, if you have a month spare then I'd definitely consider it.

Pretty much what everyone else has said. It's annoying when you put a lot of effort into an application and don't hear back. It's nice to get something, no matter how short, even if it's an automated reply it's still something to let you know where you stand. As for giving people feedback, I personally wouldn't want any one to sugarcoat it. If something sucks I'd want to know, if there's something I can improve on then I'd want to know. I don't mean be a dick, but I always appreciate honest, constructive criticism.

I can finally connect to servers on Xbox One! For the last few days quick match hasn't worked for me and the queues on the server browser never seemed to go down, screw sitting in a queue of 90 people. Anyway, it seems to be working fine at the minute and despite everything it's still fun.

I'm so hyped for this game, the lack of a campaign doesn't really bother me at all, it can only mean good things for multiplayer. It would have been a bonus, but I think you'd struggle to find people who want this game for a campaign. I'm bored of the same old shooters dominating mp, I have my fingers crossed this turns out as awesome as it looks. Oh and no killstreaks, sold.

I'm tempted to get this myself, more so if there's a Mapcore group. I don't think I'd enjoy it so much on my own, I need protection while I learn the ropes.
