Hello @Flower_Shop_Guy
Thanks for sharing your portfolio with the Core!
I would have one key important feedback to give: When I click on your link, the page opens, and there, I'm directly onto a project and I have absolutely no idea who you are. No name, no role.
I went through all your projects and I still don't know if you are a level designer or an environment artist... Making it clear, whatever the page I'm reading would be a good addition I think.
On another topic, I might miss some information on what we did on the project, design intention. On top of that, I personnaly like when there is a video to see the actual gameplay in the map. Because let's be honestly, no recruiter will download and play your maps and screenshots are not enough to show the potential of your layout. A top view of the map showing paths and opportunities is also a good design sign.

It has been announces today that Intel, official partner of the Olympics commitee will organize an esport event called the Intel Extreme Masters of PeyongChang organized by ESL. It has been officially said that it will be a prelude to the OG 2018 in PyeongChang.
Timo Lumme, Tv services & marketing director of the Olympic commitee said that "After the olympic summit last week, the commitee is starting to explore futur links between electronic sports and the olympic spirit. This is a first step that will transform the futur of sports, and we can't wait to attend to this event."
I am happy to say that it has also been announced that there will be two games at this event: Starcraft 2, that brought South Corean at the top of esport countries; and the project we worked on at Ubisoft Annecy during the past few months, Steep: Road to the Olympics at it's a licensed for for these Olympics Events.
So seriously guys, don't be grumpy. It is a first step toward what we want. We know it will take time. It doesn't matter that they don't want violent game. That will whange. Let them welcome games into the Olympics whether it be Steep, Clash Royale or whatever. It's already a big deal. It means massive audience for games. We will bring competitive action games to those events but it will take time. For now, they probably still want to figure how to bring games for everyone and, by everyone I mean adults and their children and you know that games are still a problem for lots of people. Again, it's will be slow but let's be happy of these first steps.

I love that kind of stuff @Spherix.
So sad to see so many things not finished. Yet, it gives them a little charm so sexy -
Wow it looks super cool @OrnateBaboon

Waho! Awesome job @DonCarbon I love that! The main hall is great
-
I like it too. Are you planning more content on this series? I hope so!
-
Oh I didn't see this! The shapes are pretty cool. But it's all grey! Are you planning to had colors through texture or lights to get identify the areas, make easier to see the players from the wall etc ?
Did you applied some modifications lately? Please, more shots of this!
-
So how is it going over here? Have you applied some retakes on your layout/greybox/scope?

Yo everyone, I've been working for almost two months now at Ubisoft Annecy and it's been really cool so far! The team is great, the project is cool, there are plenty of awesome stuff to produce, and Oh god! it feels good to be on a project with a strong creative direction and a proper workflow. The city is (expensive) very pretty, next to a lake and mountains. Plenty of activities to do here! Just need a bae and more money to have a perfect life ^^ I even tried canyoning, planing to the paraglide and that kind of stuff.
Btw, I'm currently working on this =>
For those who'd be interested, the studio is still looking for people ! => https://careers.smartrecruiters.com/Ubisoft2
Even if I'm not replying, I'm still reading you all everyday Love

As everything has been validated => I'll start working at Ubisoft Annecy next week as a level designer.
I'm struggling to find a place to live in this city so I might not be around here much in the next two or three weeks. But be sure I'll represent Mapcore well in this studio! First day with the Mapcore t-shirt for sure

I'm completely lost. I've spent the last few months looking for a new job. Now I have two very different options I can't decide which one to pick.
The first one is in a big studio:
+ as a level designer
+ on a known franchise
- less paid than the other position (about 5k in the year)
+ in a wonderful small city..
- but not a lot of culture places in it
+ with big company advantages
- seems to propose not than much of a progression in the company
- doesn't increase the salary a lot through the years (feedback from guys I know there)
=> sounds very secured but very static in term of perspectives
=> it opens my profil more to console and PC game dev
The second one is in a small studio:
/ as a mobile game designer
+ with a big budget manages by an old friend of mine that I trust
+ to work with "celebrities"
- in a huge city (that I don't especially like)
/ to build a project from almost from scratch
=> sounds risky but could have a lot of benefits
=> I'll definitely be a mobile game designerI really don't know what to do. I'm supposed to answer them both tomorrow. It's a big deal. I don't know what's best, I don't know what I'd prefer in the future. I have no idea... I just know I don't want to move to another location in 10 months.

Like I said elsewhere, very well done. I think old comics can provide ton of inspiration for games
Yeah they are full of crazy ideas (including some weird shit ^^ )

I'm in a terrific period of unemployement where I throw all my attention on comics. I bought 'tons' of them, both french and english.
I discovered many super cool stories. I didn't know the Gordon of Gotham series which is awesome ; Super boy here on the picture is not the DC superman thing, it's an old french superhero (very funny btw).
I also find the "Forever evil" from DC which tells the story of the Syndicate taking over the world. The Justice Leagues are beaten so the vilains and the last heroes (basically, Batman) fight the Syndicate. It is really cool. Within those, I read for the first time some "Rogues" pages (they are Flash ennemies). I love the drawing of Scott Helpburn.
I also found some old science fiction comics. I don't know if they existed anywhere else than France. They are from the mid 60's. It's in the same spirit than novels from this period in term of SF univers.
So good finds. I found all of these in bric-a-brac for almost nothing. People just want to get rid of old stuff that they often have from their youth or from their parents. I got some superman and spiderman books for 10 or 20 cents... I have spent around 30 euros in a month for something like 130 comic books. So it's ridiculous and i'm very happy about it! ^^

I'm seeing this a bit late but your portfolio is actually pretty cool. The Thumbnails switching to video is, in fact, awesome and makes it easier to go quickly through your content @Yokogeri
The pages are very well documented. I think it's one of the best documented portfolio I've seen and it's very pleasant!
Indeed, like FMPONE said, the overall might be a bit too dark. I would good for a softer background to make the pages a bit clearer.
But great work!
