    Hey fellas!
     
    I've ordered some upgrades for the server. When we've made 7 out of 8 maps in a goddamn map pack it feels like we deserve the best!  The server will soon run on a higher end CPU and at 128 ticks.

    Thanks again guys! We did a small update today, just some minor stuff though (not a new layout or anything!). Let us know if you have any crits, we'll probably do another update soon.

    - Hostages now spawn in more different locations. - Placesnames have now been added and will be used by bots and will show up next to team chat messages. Look in the upper left of your screen to see the name of the area you are in! - Terrorists can no longer access the helipad. It is now harder for T to cover the hostage rescue zone. - Both the normal radar and the spectator radar, the one shown during loading, have been improved and are now more readable. - Reflective surfaces have been toned down. - The Main Hall artwork has been improved visually. - The navigation mesh has been improved.

    The old path created some gameplay problems. The layout was too interconnected and didn't promote classic Counter Strike gameplay (few routes, high risk chokes). It also allowed T's to very quickly attack CT's from the rear.
     
    What I've decided to do is to simplify the map down to 3 basic routes and verify that this core basis works. This comes at the cost that the map feels a bit simplistic (and might be the reason why you feel something's missing). That's why I'm currently reworking the paths to add some personality or "twists". Things like CT's grenade-window into the atrium. For example, the side-route (the big room that's not the main atrium) now has a balcony for CT's side. It gives them elevation at significant risk (crossing through line of fire). That risk can be reduced by smoking and it should make the area's dynamics a lot more interesting.

    In total there are 76 new textures being used in the final map  . I tried to match the look very closely to the existing cs:go content.

    I had to work extremely fast and efficient on these ones, as I had only something like two weeks to do it all, while it was the end of the term at university (with a lot of presentations, examns and all that). Still, it has been a lot of fun and I'm very proud of the output and the general map feels fantastic to walk in.

    Yeah I don't plan to put any red in there, blue is already the primary contrast, otherwise it's going to look like mcdonalds up in there!
     
    I'd like to get some more orange elements in there, but much more subtle and not as in your face.

    You don't need to release it in the workshop, just send the map with all in it to Ornate :
     
    Also Radar is better, even a quick one, because it's a huge part of the gameplay.

    Hi guys, ive build this map for the GameBanana Ratmap competition. Today the winners were announced and im happy to say this map made it first place!

    The setting of the map is a "small" ship yard where the terrorists have to destroy either the other ship (bombsite A) or the building plans (bombsite B). Ofcourse the counter-terrorists will have to try to prevent this.

    the map contains a lot of custom material, as well as a working cable car between the two ships!
