    The good news is: This project is not dead. The bad news is: Progress is interrupted again and again. But over the past months I learned a lot about Blender and how to get the models work properly in source. Thanks to @grapen, @Terri and many others who helped me out with all the modeling and exporting issues I had.
    In the near future I'll try to focus better on making some fitting models to get this map to look like something. I've got ideas for at least some of the areas. But for now, here are screenshots of the CT Spawn in it's current state and some unfinished models.

    I also had a little trip out of town to get some shots of the moon.
    The evening started with a pretty cool sunset:
    (BTW: No Photoshop magic here, pretty much straight outta Camera)


    Then, after a little while, I took quite some pictures of the Blood Moon. It was really hard to get the focus spot on since everything was so dark. The rather long exposure time didn't really help. This is the sharpest one I probably got:

    And since the Mars was also well visible, I had to get a photo of both Moon and Mars in one shot.

    Ended the trip with a little wide angle shot of the eclipse and the Milky Way. 30s exposure time:

    I meant to post weeks ago, but I have finally finished IT.
    I bought it right away after the trailer of the new movie came out, and was my intention to read it before the movie was in cinemas -- which at 1300+ pages meant 12 ppd-- unfortunately I was disciplined for very short time and read only on my weekly commute to my gf and when on holiday so took me almost exactly 1 year 😣
    I'm not sure why it is so revered, basically as the best book by King. I like the structure, jumping between present and past, but I can't say I was captivated as much as other books of King. In general I always preferred his short stories tbh, while reading I was mentally thinking of all the content that I was finding padding that detracted from suspense. It got very good when the story had progressed, but I found the ending quite underwhelming. I struggled to picture it very much and just find the reveal jarring toward what you think IT is.
    One thing I can say, it brought me back to my high-school days when I read several of King's books (which convinced me to take a stab at writing myself).

    Valve have said we are free to use any content from their games as long as Classic Offensive is free, requires CS:GO, and does not appear to be officially endorsed by them. Their only main concerns were brand confusion or profiting from a modification, the majority of which is still their creation. For example, we cannot use the "Counter-Strike" name or logo. The maps in the mod will use assets almost entirely from Global-Offensive. Of course, we must also follow the Steam User Agreement so no exe/dll edits from Vanilla CS:GO. Hope that clears things up.

    Actually went, from Copenhagen to Hamburg, then Hamburg to Basel. Basel to Geneva and then Geneva to Lyon. 
    Apparantly when we got to Lyon there were no night-trains, so we took a cab to the AirPort and jumped on a bus to Barcelona. After a looong bus-ride we arrived only to hear that all trains to Malaga were full for two days!
    Train to El Prat, and rented a car instead. 9 hours later we arrived, tired and exhausted. But man it was worth it.
    After all the trouble we had with trains in Spaina and France we sniped plane-tickets to Amsterdam for 40 euro a pop, so tuesday we fly there !

    Stumbled on this, I'm not normally a fan but recently pixel art games have reached new heights, merging the old school style and modern special effects, remastering glitches from the vhs era...
    This seems such an impressive mash up of retro-fi, pop culture and nostalgia all in one.
    Also reminds me a lot of Another World (at least some sets, but opening cutscene and we're player begins the journey)

    It has been repaired with today's update: http://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/2018/07/20556/ (bug is not exist in patch notes, but we can find an updated Phong shader files in platform/shaders/fxc and it works on de_train). And, for me, all models using Phong shading (weapons, player models...) looks different after update.

    The search for the visual style of the map.

    Initially, I wanted to create a map in which the player is surrounded by a mine.
     
    I wanted to give the map greatness. To the player looked worthless against the backdrop of huge structures or terrain.
    I do searches not only in the gameplay, but in how the player will feel the world around. I think this is also an important aspect of level design.
    The search continues, and here are the results of this practical and analytical work.
     
    It's just a concept. Lighting, details will appear and be refined.
    Now I just share my thoughts and sketches. What do you think about the latest concept?

    I don't post in here as often as I should, especially considering all the stuff I've been making for @prodeusgame . Here are a few wip to wip screenshots!
    This is the first time I'm working with this type of aesthetic, but it's a lot of fun! Really enjoying finding that sweet spot. First few hallways I made look pretty bad, but these screenshots below show quite a bit of evolution in the actual look.

    Updated pics of areas previously pimped, and some more interior work. Trying to make each interior unique without using too many different assets. Skybex has the unenviable task of making lots of interior meshes to try and tell a story. No 3d sky, trees or cubemaps yet, but that should be happening soon.

    Sorry, I'm not here very often

    Just came back from Africa and my time off, after E3 madness
    Super Happy you guys are liking what you see.
    It was a super buys time, but I'm glad it turned out that good.
    Minos actually, was able to witness the time I've spend on the end run, while working on it

    The biggest fun for me, are those reaction videos on YT. I was sure the opening scene is total shiet but when people started to WOW'ing it, I was like - OK, maybe it's not that bad

    My friend who coded everything isn't really available right now but I'm taking notes for future modifications I'll ask him to do.
    Some features are missing, such as the "burger menu" if you're using a small monitor, so you won't be able to navigate through tabs on a smartphone, sorry :x
    I can manage all the content from a Google Sheets though
    My translation might be a bit rough at times, sorry 😕
     
    I know it's a bit weird because there are both level design and product design projects, I am looking for a level designer position but still wanted to show a bit of what I did in my current job. I hope it's not too confusing.
