'RZL reacted to blackdog in Control (Remedy)
Remedy got me scared this morning as I woke up to a stream of tweets mentioning this game and sounded like was PS4 exclusive, which is not the case: coming to PC, Xbox and PS4 in 2019.
The game has some crazy environments and subject to incredible powers... but I must say after the underwhelming Quantum Break it's not creating as much hype as I would want for me. Doesn't help it also looks a lot like QB, at least in regard to special effects and way the character move.
In that shot where they pull the camera up from the pistol I was like: "wait, is that Lauren Cohan?" but then read some comments and people pointing out she seems to be the same actress impersonating Beth Wilder in Quantum Break, so there's a speculation this could be a spin-off.
There will be more info tomorrow
No dog around* tho/yet, so that could be another game (I think they said they are working at multiple projects, they also changed offices again in an even bigger space)

Some parts have gone backwards - I have hidden all the "old" assets until they can get replaced with HR ones. The blends are also under construction.
The double doors RZL mentioned have not been updated yet, since there have been bigger things to deal with. The interiors now have the base direction - trims will also be added, and a lot of unique things to better identify each interior.
Regarding the story, for now, we will be going for the same kind of thing as inferno, with the hiding of missiles in the sites. Hazard stripes will be added to the crates, and some tarp on top of all the barrels to break them up a bit.

Here a bit of feedback:
1. The trees look a bit too repetitive and do not look very good from the angle you're looking (from below).
2. You seem to use the fence model a lot and it looks pretty wrong in front of the wall. I would get rid of that stuff there.
3. I would change the texture for the storm drain area to something that looks more like concrete, this one gives me too much of an italy vibe, especially since it looks similar to your map de_coast. Same goes to the floor trims.
4. The double double door entrance looks really wrong. I would definitely remove one of them (and replace them with a window you might be to jump through?). If it is two entrances to different parts of the interior (with a wall between) then I would replace the doors with single doors instead so you have some space between the entrances.
Also the balloons are too repetitive and too uniformly clustered. I would spread them out a bit more in some parts and move them closer in others to break things up.
Gameplay wise the whole map is an absolute mess and no fun at all to run around in. Prove me otherwise by giving me access to actually be able to play it

Not sure how I feel about it being multiplayer/online if its true. If its more a coop single player like borderlands or something more like Terraria with the base building focus with some added adventuring I would welcome such a change. But judging by Bethesda's recent actions, ESO being a lootbox extravaganza, Legends purely designed to milk its players and the paid mods they have pushed so hard. I cant help but worry the main design decisions revolve around "how can we sell as many lootboxes as possible"
I really hope I am wrong, but I would place a bet that it will be all about the lootboxes.

I was bored so I made a Flying Scoutsman layout one evening, with no intention to finish it. After a surprisingly fun playtest, I changed my mind and worked together with the maker of the map Beerhouse to make this map visually appealing. So this here is the final version. There will be obviously problems with all the displacements, so feel free to report them to us. Hope you have as much fun playing this with friends as we did making it.
Story:
Deep in the Outback, the Phoenix have set up base in an old opal mine. Hearing of an imminent plan to attack the government, Northern Territory Counter-Terrorist units have been called in to halt the operation...

More work on Insertion2. Trying out a new dusk/dawn lighting setup. I Think i'll stick to it. Will be nice to play around with lights to guide player movement.
It's still a bit too dark though. Need to find the sweetspot between nailing the dusk/dawn look and good overall brightness.
