All textures can still be changed, none of them are definitely final, but let us know what you think about the direction this project is going :) !

    Cheers!

I like the direction you guys are going, looks really promising! Keep at it!

Hey, i requested my map tested the 22.april, but that's friday. If posible, can we test it on thursday the 21.april?

Hey, I moved your request to thursday. Still have to verify if your map is ready for playtesting though. Also, please create a MapCore thread first, and gather some feedback on there.

    To everyone:

Sorry, the demos are broken as of now and I know no solution to it. Please hit me up if you got an idea on how to fix them and we'll try to work it out.

    Cheers

Workshop Page updated with feedback from play-test google sheet. (Stairs are now clipped) - Depending on tomorrows play-test, there may be major changes to A site too. But we will wait until then.

Alright, thanks for clipping the stairs. I accidentally changed the date to the wrong day. The playtest will be on Sunday, the 17th of April and not on Saturday the 16th.

Thank you to everyone involved in organizing and maintaining this. Super helpful.

Edit: Also, I would like the files associated with piranesi whenever they're available. thanks again

Hey, sorry for the delay. The files are uploaded now. You can find the link in the first post of this thread.

Really sorry to do this but I've been roped into a work thing on Thursday night, can I postpone til Sunday? de_otocec_v1 :(

Or actually, I suppose I don't need to be there - I can just gather the feedback afterwards?

Yes, you can do that, but it's always nicer to have the mapper take part in the playtest, as it also motivates the playtesters to give more feedback. There is also no guarantee that the replay works. I'd suggest to postpone your submission until Sunday.

Same thing seems to have happened to mine. Unfortunately I timed out after about 5 minutes so didn't manage to get much feedback from gameplay (plus me playing on my laptop was probably ruining balance), although the text chat is still present so I might get some limited use from that. Would there be any issue in me submitting it for Thursday exactly as was (unless there was anything majorly wrong with it)? I wont be able to play but can drag a friend in to play instead and answer any questions he relays to me :P

Sorry, but we won't playtest a map that is the same it was the last time. Please keep working on your map until you submit again. You can simplify your map quite a bit for example, as the flow of it was pretty unintuitive. There was also headpeek cover at some locations which you should remove imo.

I just downloaded my latest playtest demo. It seems to be corrupted or something. At least it doesn't work properly.

When I open it in demoui, it "connects to server" correctly and lets me watch the demo almost until end of warmup and then it says:

"Warning: cl_flushentitypacket, Update delta not found." at the upper right corner of the screen. Same time console foods with text "Update delta not found."

I also noted that the file is over 500MB.

Sorry about the corrupted file, seems to happen sometimes unfortunately. I know of no way to solve this problem :/

And yeah, I noticed the terribly large filesize and >90% of it would be an empty server, because the recording didn't seem to stop after everyone left. I'll try to prevent this from happening again, maybe it also reduces the chances of corruption.

  8. Just know that in my map submission I added a _ in my name cause I thought I had to put my steam name. My mapcore name is RedHawk, as you can already clearly see

Haha, alright man, I fixed it in your submission.

EDIT: Also, you should be able to create a MapCore thread for your map now. Which I highly recommend!

  9. As I've stated in the Edit, I tried to change the color, but it doesn't affect it at all.

Ambient is a purple-gray (196 185 208 200 purple0osx6.jpg, very slightly), nothing extreme blueish. I removed all entities but the shadow_control, light_env and it still happens. I changed the shadow color for the shadow_control to 196 196 196 (grey, duh!) and still no change. This screenshot is compiled with HDR only but shows the effect pretty well. And yes, I compile with -StaticPropLighting

Try to delete your light_env and add a new one with the same settings. That might solve your problem.

  10. Is anyone else having problems with HDR? All of my compiles are turning up with blue shadow highlights. The only solution I have found is compiling without HDR.

This problem was solved by removing the light_environment and adding a new light_environment with the exact same settings. Looks like the entity was somehow corrupted. Funky stuff.
