  1. Well, I have to agree with you and I am from the company ! Fortunately the ices started moving thanks to DayZ.
  2. Sorry that I confused you. Actually how I meant it is that Big Mac it does not have the same value in each country. In USA it is the cheapest of meals and its price compared to avg. salary is low. Here is marketed as meal from restaurant and its price to avg. salary is high, even it is not worth it. So Big Mac is not the etalon for estimating living standards, but that isn't probably almost anything anyway, so maybe sticking to Big Mac factor is still OK. As contrast I have stated the beer-factor, which is ridiculously cheap here, so by that factor we would appear much richer than anybody else
  3. Just bought another EIZO recently, to complement its older brother and dual screen that goddamn Editor
  4. Well taking the price of Bic-Mac as reference point for comparing live standards will send Czech republic in the category of 3rd World country. The prices of fast-food are ridiculously overpriced here (maybe, because they are trying to market them as "restaurants"), but if you take the beer as constant for this comparison, then I think even the Sweden will stay far behind I vote for beer factor !
  5. Great idea, but take in the account also the location. I think there will a big laugh when comparing salaries by absolute value in, for example, Czech Rep. or Poland and USA
  6. Well, my first map was probably for Heroes 2. I can remember that I have spent more time in the Editor than actually in the game itself. The terrain painting and the overall cuteness of the game was just too addictive That was in the late 90's, then I just remember the fragments of messing with Starcraft editor and Aurora toolset Beta (Neverwinter Nights), but never released anything, until 2004. Then it became pretty serious with Hammer meeting the Natural Selection and since then it was pretty solid addiction until now It took me over a year to pull up my first map for NS1. I have made all the classical beginner mistakes, same mentioned in this topic , and I have had to scrape all my work several times due to the technical inexperience with Goldsrc. In the end, I have decided that I should to focus on smaller project first and gain some experience before moving onto something more ambitious. So as my first map I consider co_Overmind - combat map for NS1, but that was just a springboard to produce ns_Hulk, for which I was aiming (unsuccessfully) from the beginning.
  7. Well, I see the point in getting paid to play this. Edit: If you want to enpower your team, do not hesitate to contact Nasir Shiraz. He can make intros like this
  8. Those _i textures go for illuminate maps - they defines areas in the texture which are always bright, regardless the light cast on them. They are used for lights, computer screens etc.
  9. Can we use them in NS2 maps ?
  10. Hi. I would like to present my project for Natural Selection 2 Combat mod. It is a remake of map from NS1 - co_Core, which was appraised by many players for its clever but simple layout, fast gameplay and stunning visuals. I think its worthy candidate for a remake, and it will make valuable contribution to Combat mod for NS2. Original author of co_Core is Jake "Ekaj" Griffith. The remake was started by Remedy, who decompiled the original and remade the original Ready Room. I've taken the project over. I've contacted original author for permission for this remake and he approved it. Here are few screenies: The map is available for those in possesion of NS2 from Steam workshop here (login may be required) More info can be found in original thread at NS2 forums here
