For some reason some scientists are skeptical about this crisis. I really don't understand what made this particular virus cause this global crisis that is making all governments say that ppl should stay at home until it is safe to go out.

Both MS and Sony did invest in processing power for 3D audio. Their current hardware can do it, but if developers do so they are forced to cut down elsewhere because there isn't enough power to do 3D audio plus graphics.
This is some phd work from 2014. It makes a huge difference in immersion.

Anybody waiting for it? Eurogamer has published all specs.
There is no secondary low power CPU for OS, nor dedicated DDR for it. It seems that PS5 is going that way, repeating the same idea of the PS4.
The SSD is embedded inside, you can't swap it. If you need there is an external port to plug in a dedicated external SSD. The SSD of the next consoles is about 20x ~ 30x faster than HDDs, meaning that lots of games are going to require a high speed SSD to run or they might make the PC versions require a lot of RAM to compensate.
No CPU throttling, the clock of the CPU is static with two modes. One with higher clock and no SMT and another with lower clock and SMT. GPU also has static clock.
Lots of dedicated stuff for raytracing, on the fly decompression to mitigate bandwidth usage and more flexibility to program the graphics.
13,5GB of RAM for games, 3,5GB for OS. But due to some technical limitations not all that RAM is clocked at the same speed, part of it has lower clocks.
There is much more control over input latency by game makers.

This is fake. That didn't happen this year, it was from another time and something unrelated to the current virus.
Holy.... What did the american government do? The number of infected in the US is alarming.

They did spent more on the SSD part as Cerny said back then.
The difference in brute performance is very small. Even less than PS4 x Xbox one. 2 ~ 3 Tflops of brute force is not going to be noticiable most of the time.
They are both relying on pretty much the same raytracing tech, same shaders tech, same CPU, same GPU. The differences lie in different approaches for cooling and power consumption.

They've mastered organic levels. The "inside a monster" feeling is so real that you never notice anything missplaced, oddly placed or that doesn't feel natural. Even when you zoom in the surfaces look so high res and high poly, as if you could touch it and feel the roughness of it. They are going to win "best graphics" for this. Compare doom eternal to that Elemental techdemo from years ago.

Changed the name of the map to Mountain Outpost. The "chapter 3" in the name was to indicate a series of maps, but I never made them. Added some more lights to it and changed others. But now the map just causes crashes that I just don't know what is wrong. I was trying to make bots play this map alone and end it in monster hunt mod, but something is going wrong. I've discovered that the counter used to trigger the events can fail to count properly, rendering the map broken because some events fail to trigger.

Found this on some unreal server that redirects downloads. I thought it was gone for good. Back in that year I looked at Grit-Tourney ant thought "Making a map like this should be easy! let's build something similar". And then I made a maze. If I were to do it today I wouldn't make it have the same lighting and texture everywhere. It's very easy to get lost.

I think I'll quit japanese classes. For this beginner level I think it's just too expensive and I can go on with textbooks alone.

Just found out that the whole course of basic level of Japanese is available for free https://www.marugoto.org/en/
First test took just 30 minutes and was half "can you read these words?" and half "What would you like to eat?" in japanese.
In portuguese / spanish you say object + color, but in english / jap the order is color + object.

The funny thing about japanese is that many words are copied from english. But the letters A, E, I O, U have sounds much similar to portuguese.
One of the things that make both english and portuguese hard for people who are native japanese speakers is that both english and portuguese have words with "TR", "TP", "S", "DR", etc. But japanse is all "TO", "TA", "DA", "DO", "KU", "WO", "WA", ... making it hard for japanese to pronounce english or portuguese.
