  1. @holiestcows: are the A & B signs visible from T spawn? There are so many smokestacks that seem they could be covered. Keep it going.
  2. Exactly! I hope the parallel between the two is not too stretched-out :$

    Gone Home

Gone Home, an adventure title in which you get back home and have to investigate why nobody's there. A brief demo: http://youtu.be/IVE-__EWB0M for those who never heard of it, it is made by the core members who made the Bioshock 2 single-player DLC. Since there are several indie games being shared lately, and I don't find this by searching, thought this deserved some attention too. I've never been into adventure games, but for some reasons in the last few years i'm getting tingled by some that are coming out.
  4. There's another similar project on the way, I remember seeing a couple of months ago footage of a turn-based game with roughly the same "spiritual sequel" goal in mind. This looks awesome if final quality can be like that btw.

    Mad Max

Seeing the topic title, I thought the gameplay trailer was out
  6. On my radar too, saw this trailer a few days ago. Feels weird the idle camera bobbing and general art style makes for a great deja-vu with Hawken, but even if i've never been into space combat games, this intrigues me enough.
  7. Wed GT went inside the studio http://www.gametrailers.com/full-episodes/aevcwo/gt-tv-titanfall
  8. Ah, great. I found out yesterday about this movie, but forgot to search a trailer. Definitely worth watching.
  9. Another facet of content creation: item-makers can donate to toolmakers http://steamcommunity.com/games/SteamWorkshop/announcements/detail/1819734886367365945 @Anselmo: guess so, i've just seen it listed but i'm not dabbling in this kind of things atm.

    The Last of Us

Is the making of available to see online?
  11. I hope that those of you with SP mods will update them for multi-platform release, so I can get back to play some good ol' HL2 stuff
  12. (Not sure if I should post this here or in 3D forum) Huge changes for Source Engine modders: http://store.steampowered.com/news/10962/ support for Linux and Mac builds now Hammer comes along the games, instead inside the SDK the SDK Launcher is going to disappear support for Oculus Rift I find a bit odd the choice to go for a "localized" version of the tools in each game; I am expecting that for Source 2 they will approach the toolkit's distribution in the same way Epic and Crytek do.

    The Last of Us

Went back a couple of pages but I don't find a link to this behind the scenes on the audio, so it shouldn't be a repost:
  14. I see the bush is un-clipped, is camping a concern? Seems to play intersting btw, congrats! I am trying to come up with something simple for an ar_ myself and I was afraid it wouldn't work much by steering away from a symmetrical layout.
  15. I woudn't know where else to put this, I hope it's cool to promote a payed utility here – to be clear I have no affiliation nor involvement with the project. Since there are a few developers working on mobile platforms around here, I thought this could be useful to share. Reflector is a software for your Mac that enables to mirror your iDevices to your screen via Airplay, record the video stream (with audio too). It might come in handy to put together material for a portfolio or promote your indie project cheaply. I used it myself to record some gameplay for one of the mobile games I worked on (the result ). They are discounting it 15% through Facebook promo til 14th of July. https://www.facebook.com/ReflectorApp There are other similar apps, but this seemed to me the most solid. I'd prefear to do this with a physical cable, but video acquisition hardware is more expensive.

    Routine

From the Q&A I understood they planned to have it realeased already, to RPS they are saying they are receiving collab proposals... so maybe they'll end up pushing the release further and put some more polish on it.
  17. Season finale of Revolution, lol, if that is a "filler" type of show. But the finale is extremely good, compared to how the show was for the first good half of the season.

RPS interview «the way we are trying to spin this is: you are trying to achieve what you think you need to achieve. It’s down to the player. The game has multiple endings, based on how the game perceives you act, and therefore what your goal has been. [...] we have one section of the game, which is shown at the end of the trailer, the sewers, and that’s interesting because there’s almost no story progression down there. There’s no links to go down there, there are warnings to say to the player not to go down there, there are visual warnings. But it leads to that ‘curiosity killed the cat’ thing. We want to play with that, to see what drives players, to see what curiosity does to people.»

Do agree on that. On the rest, dkm said it best. To me the art quality is incredible for it being made by just two artists.
  20. A flythrough video would be awesome... wouldn't it?
  21. Fringe finale, turned out ok, but not an exploit surpassing the overall standard of the season. Khool scene this was Now I just hope to see Anna Torv soon again, aww <3 (even better redheaded)
