  1. From the map load message this is what I seem to be missing: I'll cross post in the other thread also. Thank you guys for your hard work!
  2. Name: Tom Perryman Nickname: Phantazm11 Mapname: Oubliette (DM-Oubliette) Download: Download Alternate Download: Dropbox Download “I agree that this content constitutes a Submission under the Unreal Engine EULA ( https://www.unrealengine.com/eula ).”
  3. You can always choose to verify your copy of the editor which should make sure everything is correct and up to date. Make sure to backup your original content though as there is always a chance it might be deleted.
  4. Are you using UV Unwrap or UV Mapping? I have been unwrapping my meshes for the lightmaps only (channel 2) and using basic uv mapping for the textures.
  5. I'm having a bit of trouble with lighting indoor spaces also. Static point lights help a lot as they don't bite into performance. Also - Great minds think alike: I put together my fire braziers almost identical to the one in your screenshot
  6. Full Name: Tom Perryman Nick name: Phantazm11 Map name: DM-Oubliette New 4.12.0 download link: http://www.phantazm11.com/content/downloads/DM-Oubliette_A1-WindowsNoEditor.pak More of a Quake style of map, but it is fun to play in Team Showdown! “I agree that this content constitutes a Submission under the Unreal Engine EULA ( https://www.unrealengine.com/eula ).”
  7. I wouldn't mind trying Lost Planet 3 if you don't mind
  8. Good advice. Some things I didn't think about. Thank you!
  9. Awesome stuff in this thead! I spent the last couple of days playing around with this low poly lamp for Quake 3. The texture resolution is 1024x1024 in this screenshot but I will cut that in half.

    Doom (4)

Well, this kind of worries me: http://www.pcgamer.com/doom-will-not-get-mod-support-in-addition-to-snapmap/
  11. I always thought I wanted to be a Level Designer, but I find that I enjoy detailing them and creating textures much more. So, Level Artist?

    Fallout 4

    Yes, yes and yes.
  13. Part of a little scene I made over the course of about five hours this afternoon, running in Quake Live. I was inspired after playing the Hijacked Well level in Rage this morning. Not completely sure I will make this into a playable level or not, but I will probably will finish the scene at least. I will eventually model the cave walls, lights, pipes and maybe even the archways.
  14. I really like DiRT 3. I'm not a big fan of racing games but I like this one. Fun to play, a lot of cool tracks (including dirt, through border towns, etc.) and the cars are easy to control. I believe you can ramp up the driving difficulty if you want by enabling manual shifting, ect., but I just like running around on the tracks every once in a while and it is easy to just pick a race and have a bit of casual fun. Looks great too.
  15. http://www.pcgamer.com/veteran-counter-strike-global-offensive-mapmaker-details-new-work/ Nice work and awesome lighting!
  16. Here is my final version: Download
  17. I can create an updated version, but it won't be until at least this weekend. If you need to release the pack before then, please feel fee to use my contest submission.
  18. Very impressive map Flipout I've been wanting to check it out for so long--glad I finally had a chance. I actually didn't play a match on this because I was too busy looking around at all of the cool architecture. You really have a great sense of space and you use all of it well. Now I just need to get off my butt and learn how to UV map
  19. This is a fun map fKd! I absolutely love your mapping style. I'm not sure I'm in love with the brick you used, but it gave an overall cool atmosphere anyway, especially with your lighting. Extreme vertical fighting is not quite my cup of tea, but I don't ever seem to mind it much in your maps. The placement of the megahealth is very cool Great job on this map brother!
  20. Finally had a chance to check this out. Great layout! This map has great flow and really cool fighting spaces! In fact, of all the maps I checked out it was the only one I finished an entire match on. Great architecture and a neat theme to. I love those gold leaves scattered everywhere
  21. Talk about stressful, but fun as hell. Seems I can't build a map nowadays without some kind of impending deadline Great work on the contest Sprony!. I have organized a few contests for work before and I have to say you did an impressive job. Very well organized and thought out. Thumbs up! Good luck to everyone. I can't wait to check out these maps
  22. Well crud, guess I will have to use my release candidate for my entry then. Good catch Pat! Thanks a ton for looking at this. I will finally have time to check out the other entries tonight. I can't wait to check out yours!
  23. Name: Tom Perryman Nick: Phantazm11 Map name: Geotechnic Download: http://www.phantazm11.com/content/downloads/phantq3dm6_rc.zip Edited: Changed the download link due to a technical problem. Please use the file phantq3dm6_rc.zip for my entry Edit 2: Realized I forgot my map file. :/ Here is the link to that: http://www.phantazm11.com/content/downloads/phantq3dm6_rc.map.zip
  24. Well, this is going to have to be my final submission: http://www.phantazm11.com/content/downloads/phantq3dm6_mapcore.zip I lowered the trigger_hurt into the pit somewhat, making it more realistic when you get slaughtered, fixed the clipping at the pipes (it may be a little high now, but at least you don't get stuck), autoclipped the rest of the rock faces, reduced the size of a few textures, and optimized the map just a bit more. If anyone has the time, could you please check the download and make sure everything looks kosher? Good luck to everyone!!
