Thats what i thought but making a plugin for foobar 2k which is the media player i prefer seemed to be way more painful than just coding a new media player in c#.
-
I saw some Youtube music-videos having really great visualizers and thought why cant media players be something that looks like that.
Something that you can put on your TV like steam big picture.
So i made this Media player. Its something like the opposite of foobar2000. It has almost no features but a cool UI.
Also this is what i made the Color Picker for.
There seem to be problems on Nvidia cards. im working on that.
Screenshots
Help With Settings Xml.
Path to your media folder.
<LibraryPath>E:\music</LibraryPath>
If the it doesn't run smoothly you can try setting this down to 1.<DssaQuality>2</DssaQuality>
You can set a custom resolution here (does not affect full screen resolution).<Width>1280</Width> <Height>720</Height>
If no Cover found this colors will be used.<DefaultColorA>#FF4C4C</DefaultColorA> <DefaultColorB>#5482FF</DefaultColorB>

Cool stuff!
Do you plan on releasing it?

Stupid me. I wanted to release it already but it didn't upload because it says im not allowed to upload executables.
Anyway its attached now.

Totally needed for win 8

Yea Win 8 Color management sucks so much that i decided to make everything grey

very cool. Did you use a known algorithm or did you come up with this yourself?
well i found out how to reproduce it with gimp so doing it automated was not to hard.

Hey there I'm not sure that this is the right place but It is kinda complete and work I want to share.
So Its been a long time since i last posted here but yesterday I wanted to calculate the cavity from a normalmap and since i didn't like xNormal (because it was to heavy and i don't use photoshop) and searching for cavity from normal didn't bring up anything I decided to make my own little Tool.
(Needs .Net 4.0)
this is how it looks:
and this is what it does:

it has been a while since i last posted here, but here is something brand new i made:

-
hmm it doesnt really look natural.
maybe you can derive somthing from here:

for sure i did all my stuf in blender...
but the colors indicate nothing for now the vertical ones are blue and the lifted yellow, the portals didnt work on them because they dont work on models in general. now i took a func_brush and parented them on to the models, wich means that it works now.
-
I always wanted to create moving floor tiles, but the portal 2 videos made me finaly do it.

the dragon sems to have the same texture as the rocks, i think mainly because the specular is so similar.
-
here is a wireframe. it uses 5342 Triangles.
i think your model is good but the texture on the armor is a bit boring. you should try giving the shells more of a highlight, like you would do in te goog old days, and add some warp on the normal map.
here are some examples:
i also did this but barely visible:
i baked it from the high poly, instead of painting it.
-
hey i made some character model for the fun of it.
highpoly:
low:
low with diffuse:
and here is teh blend file:
-
looks like tf2 vs doom ot dead space.
-
i did, but alpha 1 was a bit buggy and some hotkey differences were stupid. But the ui looks badass.
-
its some debris. mhh maybe its so clear for me, that i didnt questioned it.
-
i started making some little blender scenes.
each one took about 1-2 days.
some other screenshots of these scenes:

oh and they are all running in "realtime".
-
it looks to static, if you look at wipeout these things have no real 90° corners. you should also avoid them in order to make it look fast.
-
first one is boring since pandora has different flora.
but the second one is realy nice the hovering clifs are realy beautifull and the fog just fits.
-
the big cklock looks a bit blocky or "oldschool" you may change that but besides that its awsome.

Hey there i wrote an application to generate a heightmap from photos by interpreting the surface brightness as normal.
I found it quite useful and thought i'd be a good idea to share it.
